Many Destiny 2 players are currently engaged in fresh missions from The Edge of Fate, such as Graviton Lore and Dark Academia. Yet, others have remained loyal to older content, repeatedly attempting the Encore Exotic mission within Pinnacle Ops. These individuals might be taken aback to learn that this quest was deactivated just a few hours ago – for the second time in a short period. The cause of this interruption is due to a technical issue.
Encore Exotic mission in Pinnacle Ops once again disabled
It appears that the Encore Exotic mission in Pinnacle Ops, which has been a great way to amass resources, might have been too effective. Interestingly, just a few days ago, on July 18, Destiny 2 developers announced they had shut it down due to a problem. The specific issue that caused this decision remains unclear.
I’ve noticed something odd while playing Pinnacle Ops – it seems like the Encore mission is way too simple compared to what it should be, and the payout is significantly larger than expected.
Well, let me put it this way – it felt like a breeze to rack up points. Truth be told, the gaming community wasn’t thrilled about it. A few of us pointed out that rectifying the issue two days after it was spotted only disadvantaged those who hadn’t taken advantage of it. However, things took a turn for the worse…
Initially, developers assured us they’d restore the mission after addressing all issues. They did, but only temporarily. Recently, Bungie has turned off the Encore mission again due to a technical issue – an excessive amount of rewards being handed out by a glitch this time around.
Certain gamers discovered a method that allowed them to replicate treasure chests and gain more than three engrams every minute, all without engaging in combat.
In the same vein, it seems many fellow gamers aren’t exactly thrilled with how things have unfolded. Some are even suggesting we ease up on the grind to prevent such predicaments down the line. Now, I gotta say, grinding is a key element in games like Destiny 2 – it keeps us hooked and engaged. But, it puts Bungie in a tough spot – striking that balance between entertaining gameplay and tedium is no easy task.
Currently, we’re unsure exactly when the mission will return. It could be within a few days, but a more appropriate query might be for its duration: How long will the mission last?
