Denuvo in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) Divides Players, Will It Be Removed?

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Final Fantasy XVI is indeed a remarkable addition to the series, demonstrating Square Enix’s unwavering commitment to quality gaming. However, like a beloved pet that insists on bringing home stray cats, Denuvo seems to be an unwanted guest in our gaming world.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but acknowledge that Final Fantasy is undeniably one of gaming’s crown jewels. It comes as no surprise to me that Final Fantasy XVI has been making waves, given Square Enix’s knack for crafting compelling experiences. The game itself is top-notch, and even the occasional technical hiccup doesn’t spark much debate compared to Denuvo. Sure, FF16 uses this software for protection, and as usual, it sparks controversy among players.

Denuvo in Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) Divides Players

It is quite easy to find long discussions about Denuvo in Final Fantasy 16. For those who don’t know, it is a software which protects games from being pirated (well, not really, but prolongs this process). Of course, mostly the biggest sales are just after the release, as the game is distributed for the full price, at least without big discounts. No wonder that developers try to make as much profit as they can. It is a business, and they also want to earn money.

The issue arises when antipiracy software is frequently linked to claims of performance problems. Although there’s no concrete evidence, as both parties present their own, the predicament doesn’t seem to improve, as instances like the one with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor occur (where removing Denuvo led to improved performance). Consequently, it’s a challenging situation that appears to be divisive within the gaming community.

Will Denuvo Be removed from Final Fantasy XVI (FF16)

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that in several games, Denuvo has been taken out. With the Black Myth Wukong article we’re working on hinting at such possibilities, it wouldn’t shock me if FF16’s Steam page saw Denuvo disappearing. Only time will tell, for now, it remains a part of the game.
