Delturune S-rank guide – Board1
The initial move towards unveiling the hidden conclusion involves achieving an ‘S’ grade in the initial stage of Chapter 3 in Deltarune. We will guide you through both the conventional and secret methods for gaining entry to the ‘S’ rank room. The traditional route is by amassing points, which can be done by successfully completing various tasks. Your rank is assessed by the game based on three key factors.
- Battles score
- Pointes gained score
- Chef score
Battles Score Guide
In the upcoming events, your final battle position will be decided through three distinct battles. Although the nature of each fight might vary, the evaluation system remains consistent. To secure the top spot, make sure you fully charge your Time Power (TP) meter.
- Guarding
- Avoiding all incoming damage
- Completing the fight in the least amount of actions.
Points gained Guide
Points will be earned by the player through completing battles, solving quiz puzzles, and allowing Susie to pick them up using her magical croissant.

1. What’s the name of this enigma called? Honestly, it’s a bit fuzzy in my memory.
2. This creature appears to have a posterior-sucking appendage. What seems to be amiss with it?
3. What’s the name of this unsavory character?
4. In the image, what part of the duck doesn’t seem to fit? (Answer: Bill)
Q: What was Asriel’s favorite character in smashing fighters?
A: Sword Magician
Getting all the responses right will earn you many points. If you opt for incorrect answers, there’s a hidden element in the game that increases its fun factor, making it highly replayable.
As you venture across the game board, there are specific areas on the map where Susie begins to accumulate points from the ground. These spots regenerate, allowing you repeated access to them for continuous point farming until you’re content. Achieving around 1500 should be more than sufficient.
Chef score
Once the game is over, Mr. Tenna will set up a culinary test for the player. This task requires you to skillfully place food items on your head, dodge flames, and please clients for scores. Here are some useful hints for this endeavor:
1. Keep a steady grip on your ingredients to prevent them from falling off your head.
2. Be quick on your feet to dodge any fires that might come your way.
3. Listen carefully to the customers’ requests and try to fulfill them exactly as they ask.
4. Stay calm and focused, even under pressure, to achieve the best results.
5. Practice makes perfect! The more you rehearse, the better prepared you’ll be for the actual challenge.
- Jumping before grabbing a food item will give you bonus points.
- Focus on having a high stack of food early in the round before the fire starts appearing more regularly.
- Once the VIP guests ( Lanino and Elnina) appear, focus on giving them a stack of at least 3 food items. After that, you can continue as usual.
To achieve an S Rank on the board, it’s not necessary to secure an S rank in every one of these three tasks. If you successfully traverse the entire board, locate the fourth key, and manage to obtain an S in at least one of the challenges while earning As in the rest, the game will still grant you an overall S rank and provide access to the S room.
Secret S room access
As a fellow enthusiast, I’d like to share an alternative method for gaining access to the S room without needing exceptional gaming skills. Instead, all you need is to accumulate 1500 points in the game. Once you’ve reached this milestone, no matter your current rank, you’ll find yourself at the foot of the Green Room.
Head to the end of the hallway, and there you’ll find Pippins who can provide you with access to Room S for 1500 points. Make sure you have enough points beforehand, as if you don’t, they won’t appear until you’ve accumulated them. So, gather your points before stepping into the Green Room.
Once everything has been completed, you’ll gain entry into Room S, bringing you a step nearer to the hidden finale.
Ice key
Upon gaining entry into the elite S-rank room, you’ll uncover a secret video game hidden within. Navigate towards the upper left corner of the room, bypassing the NPC guarding the entrance. After an intermittent loop where you lack a controller and then retrieve one from the preceding scene, you’ll be ready to engage with the concealed minigame. Here’s where the game gets challenging, as there’s a specific sequence of actions required to play it correctly.
In this stage, adversaries aren’t aggressive initially, allowing you a carefree exploration. However, the only things capable of harming you are the prickly cacti, which can be effortlessly dodged. Navigate towards the lower section of the map where you’ll discover stairs leading downwards.
In this particular space, you’ll come across the sword essential for moving forward through the stage. Here’s the catch: every adversary you encounter will retaliate against you. You begin at level 1, and as you advance, your strength increases with each new level. Initially, you can only vanquish the purple creatures and fish. At level 2, you gain the power to defeat gold foes, blossoms, and shrubs. By level 3, you’ll have the ability to obliterate cacti, which will be crucial for accessing the room colored purple, a space currently blocked by two cacti.
In the rooms ahead, you’ll encounter multiple foes that you must vanquish. This is crucial for reaching level 4, or the maximum level, which grants you the power to cut down trees. Navigate your way to the lower part of the board, where you’ll find a tiny pond on the screen.
Starting from that point, you’ll be chopping down trees in a continuous line moving to your right. Continue this action across numerous screens until you encounter a red chest. Inside this chest, you’ll discover the Ice key, an essential item for battling the secret boss, or simply put, for defeating the secret boss.
Shelter Key
Once you’ve unlocked the Ice key, you can advance to the second half of the game much like the first one. You earn an S rank on board 2 in exactly the same manner as you did on board 1. Don’t fret if you didn’t manage to get access to the S room previously; you can still descend to the greenroom’s bottom and purchase entry if needed, without any penalties. Rest assured, the game won’t penalize you for this. Instead of a cooking game, this time around, you’ll be enjoying a rhythm-based adventure.
After wrapping up all those tasks, I’ll navigate my way back to the familiar S room during the Green Room segment, where the same gaming console awaits. A fresh game kicks off with a consistent theme: slaying foes to ascend high enough in levels to uncover the hidden passage. For board 2, my goal is simple – reach level 2 and conquer the initial waterfall ahead.
After reaching the summit of the waterfall, you’ll encounter another rafter. Utilize this raft to navigate your way to the upper left corner of the level until you come across a dock situated close to the icy path. Keep investigating the ice until you get to the Delta Rune door.
From here, it’s a typical dungeon. You fight off enemies until you reach level 4, at which point you’ll come across a mysterious figure wearing a white hood. This individual will begin to shadow you once you locate them in a room situated on the right side of the dungeon. During your journey, you’ll stumble upon a labyrinth-like area that appears impenetrable until you discover the secret to navigating it.
To successfully navigate this section, follow the proper hallways in sequence. You can identify the correct path when a figure wearing a white hood accompanies you all the way. If you stray off course, it may hesitate. Once you finish the labyrinth, another door with a delta rune will block your progress. To open this door, you’ll require both the hidden figure and the icy key. If you’ve followed the instructions accurately, you’ll receive the Shelter Key.
Shadow Mantle
Once you obtain the Shelter key, carry on playing the game as usual until you find yourself back in the Green room. This won’t take long, and you’ll be able to access the S room automatically without any additional steps. Along the way, you’ll encounter a chilling conversation with a familiar character until you reach the game console. There, you’ll uncover the final secret.
In the fresh setting of a new game location, accompanied by Ralsai and Susie, you’ll embark on an adventure. Upon exploration, you’ll stumble upon the sword tucked away in the map’s lower right corner. Interestingly, there are few NPCs to battle for leveling up, except for two. To advance, you’ll need to take on Ralsai and Susie in combat. Following this, you can continue exploring as normal, using the Shelter key to uncover the secret boss area when needed.
This fight isn’t a walk in the park; you’ll likely stumble a few times before you grasp its rhythm. However, once you conquer this boss, you’ll be rewarded with the Shadow Mantle, an item that can be worn by any character to help defeat the actual final boss of the game, known as The Roaring Knight. This character will also bestow upon you the Shadow Crystal.
The fight isn’t simple; you might lose a few times until you get the hang of it. But if you win, you’ll receive the Shadow Mantle, a special item that can be used on any character to help beat the true final boss, The Roaring Knight. This character will also give you the Shadow Crystal.
In Chapters 1-2, there are numerous indications that point back to the initial Snowgrave ending from Undertale, and these early chapters carry a darker atmosphere compared to the original genocide route. This secret path offers insight into Kris’s psychological state, a child who feels isolated and forlorn following some deeply impactful events. The purpose of the Shadow Crystal remains unclear, but it is expected to significantly influence Chapters 5 and beyond, which are scheduled for release soon.
