On a Delta flight headed to Wisconsin, chaos erupted when two hidden pigeons caused turmoil inside the aircraft’s cabin.
You’ve heard of ‘Snakes on a Plane,’ but birds on an airbus are an entirely different matter.
People traveling aboard a Delta flight bound for Wisconsin from Minneapolis, Minnesota suddenly panicked upon discovering that there were two pigeons inside the aircraft’s cabin.
Fortunately, the aircraft had not yet taken off from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport on the evening of May 25th, as the incident happened while it was still on the runway.
Delta flight goes viral as pigeons storm cabin
A passenger’s video captures people yelping in fear when another traveler tries to grab a bird using his coat.
Tom Caw, one of the passengers, described the event in a statement to WCCO News, stating, “The pilot came aboard and announced, ‘Dear passengers, there’s a wild animal issue on the aircraft,’ prompting laughter among us all.
Upon taking my seat, things appeared usual. However, as I listened in, a fellow passenger approached the flight attendant nearby, who seemed quite concerned, and she mentioned, “It seems a pigeon has found its way onto this aircraft.
As I, an eager traveler, found myself aboard a flight, little did I know that I’d be sharing my journey with some unexpected feathered friends. Following Caw’s account, it was during our flight when one pigeon was spotted scurrying beneath the plane seats. A diligent baggage handler swiftly removed this avian stowaway for safety. However, as we taxied onto the runway, a second pigeon took flight within the cabin, a sight that soon became viral on social media.
As I stood there, eagerly waiting for my flight, I couldn’t help but notice the baggage handler skillfully catching not one, but two pigeons! The delay in our departure wasn’t a problem for me, knowing they were safely handling things. So, we waited until 10 PM before taking off.
A representative from Delta acknowledges the thoughtful behavior shown by both our staff and passengers, as reported to WCCO News. Regrettably, we extend our apologies to our customers for the inconvenience caused by the flight delays they’ve experienced.
In a recent development, yet another unusual occurrence took place aboard a Singapore Airlines plane, this time due to a dog sitting beside the passengers who kept emitting unpleasant gas throughout their journey, leading to a refund of $1400.
