Death Stranding 2’s Battle Guitar Brings New Meaning To “Axe”

In Death Stranding, there was no scarcity of weapons, and for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, it appears that the main character Sam Porter Bridges may use an axe in battle. To clarify, this isn’t a traditional axe, but rather a futuristic electric guitar that could be seen in the hands of the returning antagonist Higgs.

In the latest ESRB listing for the upcoming sequel, it’s revealed that players will be equipped with a “combat guitar” among other weapons, including firearms. This combat guitar functions as a melee weapon, suggesting it might not be used for musical performances against enemies like Mules or BTs just yet. As for whether the combat guitar is a superior choice compared to grenades filled with bodily fluids when confronting lost souls, that could very well be the case, but only time will tell.

In addition, it seems that players will have the opportunity to handle and use machine guns and sniper rifles, among other weaponry, in Death Stranding 2. While an abundance of weapons was available in the original Death Stranding, players needed to exercise caution when deciding what to carry with them, as engaging human enemies with traditional firearms could lead to significant risks.

Director’s Cut), and other weapons designed to combat BT entities were also at hand.

Before its launch on June 26, a unique premiere event for Death Stranding 2 is scheduled at the Orpheum Theatre on June 8. The event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and attended by Hideo Kojima, the creator of Death Stranding. An exclusive live presentation of the game will take place during this event. This showcase will also be broadcast online for those who can’t attend in person. Additionally, several other global events for Death Stranding 2 are planned in major cities around the world.
