Deadpool And Wolverine Has A Heartwarming Tribute Hidden At The Very End

As a heartfelt admirer, I can’t help but be moved by Ryan Reynolds’ compassion and empathy towards his fellow actors like Rob Delaney. The poignant tribute to Delaney’s late son, Henry, in Deadpool & Wolverine is a testament to Reynolds’ exceptional character and the profound impact of shared experiences in our lives.

Actor Rob Delaney, known for his role as Deadpool, tragically lost his young son Henry to a brain tumor in the year 2018 when he was just two years old. Although Ryan Reynolds, the star of Deadpool, couldn’t pay tribute to Henry in Deadpool 2, he made sure to honor that wish through Deadpool & Wolverine. Now, Reynolds has opened up more about this emotional topic.

“There’s more to Rob Delaney than some realize. He’s one of the most subversively funny people I know. He’s a beautiful, acerbic, and vulnerable writer,” Reynolds said on Instagram. “If you stayed through the credits of Deadpool & Wolverine, you might notice a credit saying, ‘For Henry Delaney.’ Henry is Rob’s son. And Rob lost his little boy to a brain tumor in 2018. Right as we finished Deadpool 2.”

Reynolds expressed regret for not adding a tribute to Henry at the conclusion of Deadpool 2, but managed to incorporate one into Deadpool & Wolverine, reaching an even larger audience with it.

“In a positive light, it appears that a larger audience is recognizing Henry’s name in the cast list for Deadpool and Wolverine. At last, they will be appearing together on-screen, father and son.” – Reynolds commented.

Reynolds continued to commend Delaney’s book, titled “A Heart That Works,” describing it as a remarkable work that delves deeply into Delaney’s emotional reaction to the demise of Henry.

Reynolds expressed gratitude for knowing Rob, and he’s thankful to have friends who are ready to take risks to help others not feel isolated.

The action-packed duo of Deadpool and Wolverine currently holds the title as the highest-earning R-rated film in history, outperforming Joker to claim this record with a staggering $1.14 billion box office haul and still climbing. Remarkably, it also ranks among the top MCU films financially speaking.
