Dead By Daylight’s Hellraiser Chapter DLC Will Be Leaving The Game In April 2025

For quite some time now, the creators of Dead By Daylight, Behaviour Interactive, have been regularly providing both free and paid content updates. These additions have enriched the game with a variety of new elements such as additional Survivors, Killers, game maps, special abilities (perks), and numerous other features. The premium expansions, however, have primarily focused on licensed content over the recent years. This has resulted in collaborations with renowned horror films, TV series, and video game series like Alan Wake, Child’s Play (Chucky), Resident Evil, Saw, and Scream.

The Hellraiser DLC for Dead By Daylight, introduced approximately four years ago as an additional paid content, initially faced controversy regarding character voice lines and the NFT issue. Despite these contentious issues surrounding the Hellraiser Chapter DLC, its developer has recently shared regrettable news about the future of this expansion.

In 2021, Behaviour Interactive introduced a paid DLC for their game, called the Hellraiser Chapter, which included Pinhead, the Cenobite Killer, and his special abilities. For four years, he has been causing chaos in the Trials (a feature of the game). However, starting from 4th March 2024, Behavior Interactive will no longer offer this DLC on first-party storefronts such as Steam, Xbox Marketplace, and PlayStation Store. The Nintendo eShop will continue to sell it until 13th March 2025.

For nearly four years, the Cenobite has provided Survivors with a mix of joy and agony in the game, but it’s time for The Hellraiser Chapter to exit the store on April 4th, 2025. Any content from the chapter that you’ve unlocked before this date will still be accessible within the game.

We’re planning a farewell celebration…

In simpler terms, the Hellraiser Chapter DLC was quickly removed from marketplaces such as the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam after its announcement. However, fans of Dead By Daylight can still get the Cenobite Killer from the game’s internal store during a special sale that began on March 4th, 2025. During this sale, Pinhead is offered at half price, and various related cosmetics are also available.

The developers have mentioned that by buying the Cenobite Killer from the in-game store, players can obtain the Lament Configuration Charm. Players need to secure and unlock the Cenobite Killer, his cosmetics, and his three unlockable perks before 4th April 2025 at 8 am PT / 11 am ET/ 4 pm UTC. For those who haven’t already unlocked Pinhead, the developer explained in an FAQ post that “the perks will show up in the general perk pool for immediate unlock on any other Killer, as these general perks will appear under new names.

To summarize, players have until April 4th, 2025, to unlock Pinhead if they wish to earn Prestige rewards. Furthermore, The Cenobite can still be leveled up to obtain his Add-Ons. For additional details about the Hellraiser Chapter DLC and other updates, players are encouraged to check out the official FAQ post and purchase The Cenobite in the in-game Store before it’s no longer available.
