In simple terms, it has been confirmed that the next instalment of Dead by Daylight will include elements from Castlevania, starting tomorrow. However, specific details about this new content have yet to be fully disclosed beyond a few recent teaser trailers on the Dead by Daylight’s official Twitter account. These teasers have sparked fan discussions and theories regarding potential characters, abilities, and perks for the upcoming chapter.
The teasers include two pictures of books, each depicting a different animal and location. One of the books pictures a wolf “sighted in the clearing,” while the other is a bat “sighted in the village square.”

Fans speculate that the latest hints dropped by the Dead by Daylight Twitter account could be revealing the character traits or abilities of the upcoming additions. According to the game’s 2024-2025 development plan, this chapter appears to include not just one killer, but also a survivor.
The trailer revealed earlier in the year appears to suggest that the upcoming villain could potentially be Dracula. However, neither the true identity of the survivor nor the exact powers of the antagonist have been verified yet, thus sparking much fan speculation following the hints provided.
As a long-time fan of vampire lore and having delved deep into the world of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, I have a strong hunch that this series is gradually revealing more facets of Count Dracula’s powers. In my opinion, it seems like they are hinting at his ability to shapeshift, which we already know he can do in the form of bats, but this time around, they’ve shown off a wolf transformation – a form that I believe is typically associated with Alucard. This twist has certainly piqued my curiosity and left me eagerly awaiting future episodes!

It’s plausible that he can conjure such creatures, much like how Vecna selects his spells; perhaps Dracula utilizes them for hunting or scouting purposes, similar to his predatory instinct.
