As a long-time fan who’s seen countless hours of terror and excitement unfold within the haunting realm of Dead by Daylight, these latest announcements have my heart racing! The prospect of a Trickster map, an ocean map, and even earning Bloodpoints for custom games is enough to make any survivor or killer squeal with delight.
To celebrate DBD Day in Japan, some of the game’s creators, including Mathieu Cote, participated in Blood Party Friday to share insights about the game’s future. The Dead by Daylight team hinted at possible additions such as a Trickster map and an ocean map. They might also provide players with Bloodpoints for custom games. Additionally, they mentioned that further licensed Japanese content is forthcoming.
Mathieu Cote hinted during the event that Dead by Daylight has some exceptionally exciting news coming up, which Japanese fans in particular might find particularly thrilling.

Despite not yet being in active development, the Trickster map serves as a desired “wish list” item, as suggested by DBD leaker dvveet. Since the Trickster character is known for his performance abilities, his map might incorporate elements such as a stage or a vibrant street illuminated with neon lights, based on fan requests.
Back in March 2021, when Trickster dropped as part of the All-Kill update, I didn’t have a map to guide me, but I was teamed up with survivor Yun-Jin Lee.
In a subsequent look, it appears that the reference to an “All-Kill map” was more like a potential plan or a desire list rather than actual work being initiated.

After these announcements, Dead by Daylight will offer a Free To Play period from November 21st to November 25th. Additionally, there are other news regarding The Trickster; developers have shared potential updates for his kit on Reddit and are seeking fan opinions about the possible overhaul of this character.
