Marketing and communications firm DDA has unveiled DNA, a fresh division geared towards brand development. This division aims to utilize the shared fabric connecting entertainment and brands by employing strategies such as campaigns, collaborations with other brands, managing celebrity connections, social media, and organizing events.
With the latest release, two significant additions have been made to our team. Bethani Stainfield-Bruce, founder of luxury brand consultancy BSBP, is joining us as Senior Vice President for Brand Partnerships and Talent Relations, working from our London office. Concurrently, we are collaborating with Sophie Toh, a seasoned veteran in brand publicity based in Dubai, to establish our services in the Middle East under the DNA brand. Toh will lead this venture as the Managing Director.
DNA will be overseen by Julie La’Bassiere, a highly esteemed publicity and awards expert who joined DDA as Chief Strategy Officer last year. The new division will also comprise Laura Fields, currently in the role of Strategy and Planning Director, and Sonia Lehal, Director of Brand Social.

Under Julie’s strategic guidance, DNA brings together Bethani and Sophie, two top-tier global brand experts, utilizing DDA’s strong influence in entertainment and culture to generate impressive outcomes,” stated Lawrence Atkinson, CEO of DDA. In essence, these two powerhouses in the luxury brands sector, who boast connections that perfectly align with DDA’s film and TV know-how, are joining forces. With DDA’s existing connections in the Middle East, DNA’s new presence in Dubai is a strategic move to enhance client campaigns with innovation and value.
Before establishing BSBP, a company dedicated to forming strategic collaborations between brands and the film, music, and entertainment sectors, Bethani previously served as the director of special projects at the international luxury communications agency Karla Otto. Earlier in her career, she held positions at Finch & Partners and Harrods. Notable brands that Bethani has worked with include Chanel, Dior, A24, Mubi, Bvlgari, Dunhill, among others.
Initially, Toh kicked off her professional journey at Brunswick Arts in London. Later on, she relocated to Dubai where she established TOH Public Relations in 2009. This agency has amassed an impressive list of clients such as Airbnb, Deliveroo, Ferrari, Majid Al Futtaim, Nusr-Et, and Patek Philippe. Toh eventually parted ways with the company in 2024 after it was taken over.
The latest advancement at DDA is the incorporation of DNA, marking a recent period of rapid growth. In 2023, it relocated to larger facilities in London due to an increase in employees, and last year, it inaugurated its first office in New York, headed by Dan Salerno, as an addition to its existing U.S. office in LA. More recently, the company has also established a live content division, spearheaded by industry veterans Richard Adamson and Louis Kemsley.
