Adria Arjona is “strong contender” for Wonder Woman

As per Gonzalez’s statement, Adria Arjona, known for her role in Andor, is considered a strong candidate for the role. This isn’t just due to her friendship with Jason Momoa, who plays Lobo in Supergirl, but also because she has already made a significant mark in television.

In a recent installment of The Box Office Podcast, Gonzalez delved into the strategy employed by DCU, which involves selecting rising talents rather than well-known film personalities for their revamped superhero lineup.

In simpler terms, David Corenswet, recognized primarily for his roles in series like ‘The Politician’, is now stepping into the role of Superman. He expresses his belief that the creative team might be planning to introduce fresh talents for future projects.

Nevertheless, Gunn clarified to Extra, “I follow Adria on Instagram, but people jumped to conclusions, assuming ‘He followed her, so she must be Wonder Woman’.

Moreover, he mentioned: “She’d make an excellent Wonder Woman, incidentally. I worked with her in a film about seven years back. Our friendship began during that project and has continued ever since. It wasn’t that I just started following her recently.
