In Days Gone Remastered, Sony has shared additional information regarding the latest Horde Assault mode, where players engage in combat against unending hordes, or as you might say, Freakers.
During the commencement of Horde Assault, participants initially equip a sidearm weapon and engage in a series of battles against incoming adversaries to eventually secure their motorbike. As players journey through the expansive landscape on their bike, they’ll encounter supply crates that may contain a variety of weapons, including the recently introduced flamethrower.
In simpler terms, side jobs serve as smaller tasks that offer extra experience points and may even provide bonus items like additional ammunition. If you manage to last for 30 minutes, you’ll get a chance to battle the Ultimate Horde – an endless onslaught of enemies intent on tracking down players.
Players can progress to the rank of Legendary Survivor and gather prizes throughout their journey, including additional playable characters, in-game cosmetics for patches, and Injectors. Injectors serve as enhancements that influence gameplay, offering a total of 12 – six positive and six negative ones. Positive Injectors heighten the score, but also the difficulty, while negative Injectors lower the score yet offer advantages during gameplay.
As a thrilled gamer, I’m excited to share that new playable characters such as O’Brian, Lisa, and Skizzo are joining the fray, along with several others. The updates, however, are purely cosmetic. There’s also an unexpected reward on the horizon, one that players have been asking for a long time – though Sony didn’t give details, they hinted it might involve Deacon’s bike! This is just one of many bonuses you can earn by hitting the target score in all four regions.
On April 25, Days Gone Remastered debuts on PlayStation 5, accompanied by the Horde Assault mode. If you already own the PS4 version, you can upgrade to the PS5 edition for $10, but this offer doesn’t extend to the PS Plus version. Additionally, the Horde Assault mode will be available for the PC version via the Broken Road DLC as well.
Fanatical and TopMob are both owned by TopMob.
