Over the past ten years, actor Dave Bautista, who was previously a WWE wrestler, has established a reputation for himself. Now, he’s venturing into the realm of video games by teaming up with Titan1Studios to develop Cat Assassin as a new media franchise that will soon include a video game.
According to GameRant, Steve Lerner – known for writing the popular indie game Stray featuring a lovable cat in a city of robots – has created another game titled Cat Assassin. Unlike its predecessor, where the main character was a cute cat, Cat Assassin follows Hugh, a ruthless assassin maneuvering through a world filled with warring cartels and corrupt influencers. At this point, it’s not clear if Dave Bautista will be involved in the project as an actor, but his interest in such a role seems plausible.
In a “city of the future inhabited by anthropomorphic cats,” the video game titled “Cat Assassin” unfolds. This upcoming title is designed as a stealth-action game with a touch of dark comedy. The announcement reveals that Cat Assassin draws inspiration from Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Sifu.
Bautista’s Dogbone Entertainment is working on turning “Cat Assassin” into both an animated series and a movie. At this point, specific information regarding their future projects related to the franchise and the game isn’t available yet.
Following over a decade portraying Drax the Destroyer within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bautista has made known his desire to take on the role of Marcus Fenix in the upcoming Gears of War film being produced by Netflix.
