Enthusiasts of the Warhammer series won’t find themselves wanting for entertainment options. Not only are they consistently getting fresh content with Space Marine 2, which came out in September last year and is soon to receive a new gameplay mode, but Fatshark studio is also keeping fans engaged. During the Warhammer Skulls event, we got insight into the upcoming enhancements for Warhammer 40K: Darktide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Darktide with a new character class
For players of Darktide, the most significant update is approaching – it’s the release of an additional content pack, scheduled for June 23 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Priced at 11.99 euros, this expansion brings a fresh character class to the game: the Arbitrator.
Members of this group are relentless in their pursuit, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to rooting out “dissenters and betrayers” under the Lex Imperialis. In combat, they are aided by their cybernetic counterparts – lethal war dogs resembling mastiffs.
- Arbitrators can give their dogs commands to massacre enemies and provide support to the strike group. Similarly to the main character, the animal will be able to be freely personalized.
- The new class will have access to 80 talents and three combat styles.
- The DLC will give you access to some cool new weapons: the Arbites shotgun, a storm shield with a pistol, and a powerful melee weapon called the Dominator Maul.
On the same day as the launch of the “Warhammer 40,000: Darktide” expansion, there will be a complimentary update filled with fresh content. The emphasis is on refining the narrative aspect of the game to enhance the experience for players as they accomplish missions and unravel the storyline within the game.
The revamped “chosen journey” has been tailored to lead players more effectively through the urban landscape of Tertium. This path is intended to correspond with an increasing challenge level, which will also experience modifications. The primary objective of this updated system is to emphasize the player’s own abilities rather than focusing on character advancement.
I can’t help but bring up the thrilling “Skulls” event happening in Darktide! As part of this exciting in-game adventure, you’ll come across special totems that need to be destroyed, along with the formidable foes they summon. To make things even more enticing, during this period, rare decorative elements will reappear as rewards for overcoming various challenges.
Update to Vermintide 2
Today, Fatshark Studios has unveiled the last mission within the campaign of Warhammer 40K: Vermintide 2, titled “The Well of Dreams.” This closing chapter wraps up the narrative presented in the game and is now accessible to all players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Besides the fresh map added in Vermintide 2, there’s a temporary event offering a plethora of stylish cosmetic items and other rewards. This exciting event, titled Skulls for the Skull Throne, is ongoing but will conclude on June 1st.
In addition to the final mission, update version 6.6.0 has been incorporated into the game. This update addresses various issues and introduces user-friendly upgrades. Notably, the performance of AI teammates in aiding players has been optimized, and an option to eliminate unnecessary bonuses has been included.
