Sword & Axe LLC and indie.io are excited to announce that Dark Deity 2, the highly-rated sequel to the popular indie game Dark Deity, will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 7, 2025. Dark Deity 2, previously enjoyed on PC and Nintendo Switch, is now available on modern consoles. It features beautiful pixel art, a completely voiced story, and tactical battles you can customize to your liking. The game takes place 25 years after the original Dark Deity, returning to the troubled land of Verroa. While the Eternal Order once brought peace, a new empire is now rising to take control.
Okay, so in this game, I get to play as Gwyn and Riordian, who are basically the grandkids of legendary heroes. My job is to gather twenty different warriors and fight back against this huge, super-powerful invading force. I’m in charge of this group called the Eternal Delegation, and I’ll be making all the big decisions – like who to ally with and which kingdoms will survive. There are 30 chapters packed with story, and all the combat is tactical and fully voiced, so it sounds awesome. Basically, it’s all about strategy, building a team, and trying to outsmart some really tough enemies.
Dark Deity 2 features 45 different classes, each with unique abilities and ways to play—you can choose everything from powerful mages who command cosmic forces to wardens who summon crocodiles! This lets you create a truly customized army and develop strategies that fit your heroes perfectly. Every choice you make in battle matters, impacting the story, your relationships with characters, and ultimately, the fate of the war for Verroa.
Dark Deity 2 doesn’t just offer battles – it lets you personalize your entire campaign.
