Dark cathedral from The Blood of Dawnwalker will be truly terrifying place. „It seemed to embody the wrath God displayed towards sinners”

On X, a fresh post was made on The Blood of Dawnwalker‘s official account, unveiling “The Secret History of Vale Sangora.” This marks the eighth chapter in the tale of scholar Albertus Taurinus as he embarks on his journey to the city of Svartrau.

For the majority of my time, I found myself immersed in the vaulted halls of Svartrau Cathedral. From the outset, this structure did not appeal to me; despite its grandeur, there was an air of gloom and menace about it. Instead of exuding a sense of God’s infinite love, it seemed to personify the wrath He is said to have towards sinners.

It didn’t shock me to discover that the cathedral was known as haunted, and very few people would venture down its lengthy corridors after sunset. As I read old, dusty records by the dim light of candles, I too experienced a profound sense of discomfort. I always felt as if I were being watched not from the heavens above, but from some unknown depths beneath.

In the game, the cathedral seems ominous and dimly lit, hinting at potential supernatural inhabitants such as a vampire or a coven of them, as suggested in the initial trailer for the upcoming RPG. The local townsfolk’s fearful tales about the supposedly “cursed” church, coupled with the narrator’s persistent feeling of being observed, reinforce this notion.

If (however improbable it may seem), these are not the same creatures as those depicted in the concept art we were shown last week. A week ago, Rebel Wolves Studio unveiled kobolds – beings dwelling in darkness that bear a striking resemblance to nekkers from the universe of The Witcher.

The upcoming game titled “The Blood of Dawnwalker” is scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, the developers have not disclosed the anticipated release date as of now.
