‘Daredevil: Born Again’: Tony Dalton to Reprise ‘Hawkeye’ Role as The Swordsman (EXCLUSIVE)

The Swordsman is slashing his way back into the MCU.

In an exclusive update, it has been confirmed that Tony Dalton will once again assume the character of Jack Duquesne, also known as The Swordsman, in two episodes of the forthcoming Marvel series “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney+. This isn’t surprising to fans, given whispers suggesting he might rejoin the Marvel universe in “Born Again,” a revival that includes many beloved street-level characters from the Netflix shows “Daredevil” and “The Punisher.

Initially, Dalton made his live-action debut as Duquesne in the Marvel and Disney+ series “Hawkeye,” which aired in 2021. In the comics, Duquesne is known as The Swordsman’s alter ego. However, in this adaptation, his backstory deviated from its comic roots. He encountered Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who took over the role of Hawkeye, and had a relationship with her mother, Eleanor Bishop (portrayed by Vera Farmiga). At first glance, Duquesne appeared to be a potential antagonist when he was accused of his uncle’s murder and stole the sword from the former Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). But in the final episode of “Hawkeye,” it was unveiled that Eleanor orchestrated the plot and had been collaborating with Vincent D’Onofrio’s character, Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin.

After the conclusion of “Hawkeye,” fans haven’t caught a glimpse of Duquesne since then. With Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as Kingpin in “Daredevil: Born Again,” it seems likely that his co-star, Dalton, might transition to the darker, action-packed series. In “Daredevil: Born Again,” we’ll see the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye – characters who previously appeared in three seasons of the Netflix series “Daredevil.” The Disney+ revival is also set to bring back Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, a role he played for two seasons on his own Netflix show.

As a seasoned actor gracing numerous Spanish-speaking productions under my belt, I’ve now seized an unprecedented opportunity in Hollywood – portraying the menacing Lalo Salamanca on “Better Call Saul.” Moving forward, I find myself teaming up with Dave Bautista and Bobby Cannavale for the heart-pounding action thriller “Trap House,” a production jointly brought to life by Signature Films and Scott Free Productions.

Dalton is managed by a trio of agencies: Gilbertson Entertainment, Gersh, and the group consisting of Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich, Goodell & Gellman.
