Excited spectators are in for a treat with the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin), plus some beloved characters, accompanied by a couple of unexpected newcomers.

Every Confirmed Returning Character & Actor for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Matt Murdock/Daredevil – Charlie Cox

Given the current scenario, it’s tough to envision Daredevil without Charlie Cox, making his appearance in the second season of “Born Again” a logical assumption rather than a shocking revelation.

Ever since putting on the horns for Netflix’s original series, Cox’s portrayal of the character has essentially defined the role. It appears that Marvel is planning to make Cox’s version of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen the focal point of their new era on Disney+.

In the narrative of Season 2, it appears that Matt Murdock’s vigilante persona will be emphasized even more than before, as Charlie Cox is said to often don a stylish new black outfit.

With Fisk gaining control over New York and the Anti-Vigilante Task Force becoming more active, it’s anticipated that Daredevil will take a proactive stance, gradually regaining his city, block by block.

Wilson Fisk – Vincent D’Onofrio

In the first-person perspective, I can’t help but express my awe at how Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk concluded the first season of “Born Again.” By the end, he stood in a chilling position of authority, with martial law declared and himself not only as the Mayor of New York City, but also its most brutal crime lord. It’s a power I can hardly fathom, leaving me on the edge of my seat for what’s to come.

His roles as both Kingpin and politician have recently become more perilous than ever. He seamlessly combines his ruthless leadership over the criminal world with unrestrained political power.

In Season 2, Fisk’s boundaries will be tested as he delves deeper into maintaining his power, with D’Onofrio hinting at a chilled, strategic, and ruthless portrayal of the character who isn’t hesitant to turn the system against vigilantes like Daredevil.

Bullseye – Wilson Bethel

In the second season of “Born Again,” Wilson Bethel reprises his role as Bullseye, now donning a costume that aligns closer with the original comics and incorporating advanced combat gear for improved protection.

Photos reveal Dex sporting a freshly padded mask adorned with the familiar bullseye insignia on his brow, hinting at an even more lethal iteration of the character. Having fled Rikers and making an attempt on Vanessa Fisk’s life in Season 1, Bullseye is now confronted by threats from both Fisk and Daredevil.

In a twist of intrigue, Wilson Fisk, the two-faced antagonist, yearns for retribution against Dexter for the assault on his wife. Meanwhile, Matt Murdock continues his pursuit of justice following the demise of his friend, Foggy. Bullseye adds an unpredictable element to Season 2.

Karen Page – Deborah Ann Woll

In the final episode of Season 1 for “Born Again,” Deborah Ann Woll reappeared after an extended absence, portraying Karen Page once more. For Season 2, it seems her character will play a larger and more significant part.

Deborah Ann Woll was recently spotted on set with a fresh new appearance, suggesting a potential change for her character both personally and in her career. Historically, Karen has served as a significant emotional touchstone for Matt Murdock, and there are signs she might reappear as a possible romantic interest in the upcoming storyline.

As Fisk’s rule plunges the city into turmoil, Karen might find herself increasingly entangled in the fray, acting as a confidante and ethical guide for Matt. Additionally, there are whispers that she could make an appearance in the forthcoming Punisher spin-off, potentially reconnecting her with Jon Bernthal’s character, Frank Castle.

Foggy Nelson – Elden Henson

According to Marvel Studios Executive Brad Winderbaum, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, Elden Henson is set to reappear in some capacity for the second season of “Born Again.

In the second season, both he and Deborah will return in unique capacities, but we’re thrilled to collaborate with him once more. It’s hard to imagine a Daredevil season without him playing some role.

It’s been suggested that the way Foggy has been written might imply he won’t return to life as we know it, but instead could reappear in flashbacks or recollections. However, there’s still room for debate, particularly considering Daredevil #468, a comic where Foggy stages his death and goes into witness protection.

Heather Glenn – Margarita Levieva

In Season 1, Margarita Levieva takes on the role of Heather Glenn, a relationship counselor for the Fisk family who develops romantic feelings for Matt Murdock.

By the conclusion of the season, Heather’s bond with Matt weakens, drawing her closer to Wilson Fisk and enhancing the intricacy of her character development. In Season 2, we can anticipate Heather to play a significant part, delving into her reasons for clashing with vigilantes and examining the ramifications of her partnership with Fisk.

Kirsten McDuffie – Nikki M. James

In the new law firm of Murdock & McDuffie, Nikki M. James assumes the role of Kirsten McDuffie – a character previously working as an assistant district attorney in New York City, who later partners with Matt Murdock, a former legal colleague.

In Season 2, it’s possible that Kristen could assume a more self-reliant position within the law firm since Matt is likely to be preoccupied with his Daredevil duties. Additionally, viewers might find it intriguing if she discovers Matt’s double identity.

BB Urich – Genneya Walton

Genneya Walton plays the role of BB Urich, a determined journalist working at The BB Report and the niece of the late Ben Urich, as he was in the initial Daredevil series.

In Season 1, Bernie Bernhard (BB) establishes a relationship with Daniel Blake (played by Michael Gandolfini). This connection grants BB an exclusive look into the behind-the-scenes political maneuvers of Wilson Fisk’s government.

Her efforts to uncover the truth put her in a tricky situation where she must maintain journalistic honesty while dealing with the risks of revealing the city’s wrongdoings. The second season will probably delve into BB’s resolve to honor her uncle’s memory and confront Fisk, whom she suspects (with justification) was the culprit.

Cherry – Clark Johnson

In a new turn of events, Clark Johnson steps into the character of Cherry, a former NYPD officer now working as an investigator for the law firm Murdock & McDuffie.

As Season 2 progresses, Cherry’s network within the criminal world could prove vital resources in the struggle against Fisk’s task force.

Daniel Blake – Michael Gandolfini

Michael Gandolfini takes on the role of Daniel Blake, a passionate and principled young political assistant who ascends to become Fisk’s deputy mayor for communication.

In Season 1, I found myself wholeheartedly backing Fisk’s ambitious plan, and leveraging my connections with journalist BB Urich, I paved the way for media exposure to further fuel his vision.

In Season 2, we might delve into Daniel’s personal struggle as he confronts the ethical dilemmas posed by his part in upholding a more tyrannical system governed by Fisk.

Vanessa Fisk – Ayelet Zurer

Eventually, Ayelet Zurer reappeared as the powerful spouse of Wilson Fisk, previously known as Vanessa Fisk. In Fisk’s temporary absence, Vanessa took charge of his criminal organization, displaying a surprising boldness in the community.

As a dedicated movie enthusiast, my unyielding moves during the first season, such as masterminding the demise of Foggy Nelson, demonstrated an unwavering readiness to employ relentless strategies to safeguard what I hold dear.

In Season 2, it’s anticipated that the relationship between Vanessa and Fisk could change once more, possibly resulting in them working together more harmoniously while still maintaining a power-sharing arrangement.

Newcomers for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Matthew Lillard

Actor Matthew Lillard has been added to the lineup for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, but Marvel Studios is currently concealing the details about the role he will play in the series.

Famous for his performances in “Five Nights at Freddy’s” and the “Scream” series, Lillard is set to deliver an intriguing blend of charisma and threat.

His involvement suggests a potential emergence of a character with intricate moral nuances, who might become a factor in the power conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk in New York City.

Lili Taylor

Lili Taylor is set to join “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 with a regular appearance, where she will portray a character who seems to be a political opponent of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Wilson Fisk.

Her character could potentially threaten Fisk’s mayor role by uncovering dishonesty linked to his criminal background.

Annie Parisse

It’s been noticed that Annie Parisse is seen on the set of “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, fueling curiosity about the part she might play within the show.

Known primarily for her roles in “Law & Order” and “As the World Turns,” it’s evident that Parisse possesses an authoritative presence that would perfectly suit a lawyer, political figure, or someone connected to Fisk’s emerging circle. However, Marvel has not officially disclosed the nature of her character within their universe as of yet.

Sydney Parra

Sydney Parra has been spotted on the set of “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, but specifics about her character are yet to be disclosed. Renowned for her captivating performances in “Six: The Musical” and “Hadestown”, Parra’s inclusion in Season 2 promises an exciting element.
