In contrast to other Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, the series “Daredevil: Born Again” has proven to be remarkably earthbound, but even so, the creators have subtly incorporated a hint of something cosmically connected in Episode 5.
Absolutely, in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5, there’s a hidden nod to what many consider the most remarkable supervillain within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m referring to none other than Thanos (though Loki fans might argue he’s more of an anti-hero).
However, you might wonder “where?” After all, Thanos, the colossal purple character, wasn’t strolling around New York City, right? Indeed, Thanos didn’t show up physically, but a hint towards the Infinity Stones was subtly included – something I believe you may have overlooked.
The Infinity thieves
In the fifth installment, a group of five burglars raid a bank in New York City, capturing both the employees and Kamala Khan’s father as hostages. Displaying extraordinary courage, Matt Murdock, also known as the fearless one, decides to confront the situation by venturing into the building with the intention of resolving the crisis.
Despite being thieves, they each don distinctive costumes. Every potential robber sports a mask of a different hue: red, blue, green, purple, and yellow – the same shades as the five Infinity Stones.
It seems like you’re puzzled about something. The confusion might arise from the fact that Thanos didn’t gather five stones as we commonly believe, but six pieces of crystallized infinity, one of which was orange. This raises a question on how this could be associated with the purple Titan if there’s no orange-colored mask.
In other words, what exactly were the robbers in Daredevil’s “Born Again” attempting to swipe? It was an orange gemstone, completing their collection. To me, it seems like more than just a coincidence. Doesn’t it strike you as peculiar or have I managed to catch your attention with something intriguing?
