After a triumphant debut of the festival, I am thrilled to share that the critically acclaimed sci-fi comedy “Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox” is hitting NYC and LA theaters on May 30th, followed by its digital release on June 24 through Mill Creek Entertainment. To whet your appetite for the hilarious theatrical experience that lies ahead, I am excited to offer you a sneak peek at the trailer of what promises to be the next cult classic. (ScreenRant is providing this exclusive first look.)
The film, titled “Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox“, serves as the first directorial venture for Stimson Snead. It boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Samuel Dunning, Danny Trejo, Joel McHale, Keith David, and Felicia Day (who also functions as executive producer). This film tells the story of a brilliant physicist attempting to verify the Time Traveler’s Paradox by eliminating his younger self and thereby altering reality. However, the plan goes awry, leading to a mix of amusing and touching outcomes. Besides directing the movie, Snead also penned the screenplay, demonstrating his multi-faceted talent.
Have a peek at the trailer below, provided exclusively by ScreenRant, but beware that its humorous tone doesn’t reveal the heartfelt message it carries. At its essence, Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox is a story about self-acceptance, told creatively within the realm of science fiction.
Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox Offers An Unexpected Community Reunion
Joel McHale & Keith David Come Together In The Same Movie After Community Season 6
The movie trailer commences by featuring McHale’s podcast personality conversing with Dr. Tim Travers (Dunning) on the topic of the time traveler’s conundrum, which is illustrated when Travers explains that it pertains to a scientist going back one minute in time, killing his younger self, and yet continuing to exist despite violating all cosmic laws. Subsequently, Trejo enters brandishing weapons, demanding the recovery of his stolen Plutonium, while Day remains calm, anticipating hidden cameras before panicking and firing her gun.
As the trailer progresses, the confusion intensifies, ending with Travers enveloped by numerous iterations of himself, questioning the concept of God at this point. However, sharp-eyed viewers will catch that although they don’t interact in the trailer, the film Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox features both McHale and his co-star from Community, Keith David, in significant roles. Although a full-fledged Community movie is yet to be produced, genuine cast reunions have been scarce since the series ended with season 6.
Similar to the cherished series, Snead’s latest science fiction film is a tale that encourages embracing yourself wholeheartedly. In a previous press statement, the writer-director described his concept as, “This is a story about learning to appreciate yourself.“. He further stated, “It’s a delight to now share this self-love narrative with a broader audience!” This message of self-acceptance has resonated with both the audiences, critics, and festivals who have welcomed the film.
Tim Travers and The Time Traveler’s Paradox movie premieres in New York and Los Angeles cinemas on May 30th, followed by a country-wide release in the upcoming weeks. The digital version will be available starting June 24th, distributed by Mill Creek Entertainment.
