“F2P Extreme Baseball ARPG” TRIBE NINE comes out with new gameplay footage

Tribe Nine is a role-playing game featuring intense baseball action, inspired by an anime series created by Linden Films. It’s now set to launch on both PC and mobile platforms. At the moment, it’s available for testing in a closed beta phase through Steam.

In a future dystopian city modeled after Tokyo, known as Neo Tokyo, conflicts are resolved by means of games due to its bleak atmosphere. Disenchanted youngsters band together into groups called Tribes, and they often resort to violence, causing chaos throughout the metropolis. To minimize this violence, the government devised a solution: having these Tribes compete against each other in games. They enacted “XB Law,” allowing any disputes to be settled through such contests instead of physical confrontations.

What kind of sport is that you’re pointing at? It goes by the name “Extreme Baseball.” It’s quite similar to our familiar game, but with a twist: players are allowed to use an array of items as bats, and the playing field can be as expansive as an entire hospital ward. To record an Out, players must either strike out the opposing batter or tag a baserunner while holding the ball. Matches conclude when one team simply can’t keep up anymore.

Enthusiasts of the anime can anticipate something fresh with this game, as it introduces seventeen new characters in the closed beta, some of whom are familiar faces alongside fresh ones. Additionally, the game features voice acting by a talented cast led by Junichi Suwabe (Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth), Shoya Chiba (Genshin Impact), Akira Ishida (Honkai: Star Rail), and others.
