As a seasoned film enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of animation, I am genuinely excited about the upcoming 2D animated series “Max & Rabbit.” Having followed the works of Dandelooo and their collaborative projects with Canal+, I can confidently say that this new venture promises a captivating blend of storytelling and emotional intelligence.
Canal+ has appointed French animation studio Dandelooo to create a fresh 2D animated series called “Max & Rabbit” for children aged three to five. The show is based on the popular children’s book series by Astrid Desbordes and illustrated by Pauline Martin. It tells the story of Max and his companion, Rabbit, from Max’s point of view, using innovative methods to teach young viewers about managing emotions, active listening, expressing themselves, and solving everyday problems they might encounter. The animation for this series will be produced at Dandelooo’s Ooolala studio in Cartoucherie, Valence, starting next month. Clément Céard, whose animator credits include the Oscar-nominated “Persepolis” and the popular adult animated series “Lastman,” will direct the episodes.
