‘Dancing With the Stars’ Halloween Night Results in First 10s of the Season — and a Shocking Elimination

As a lifelong fan of dance competitions, I must say that this week’s episode of “Dancing With the Stars” was nothing short of thrilling! The Halloween-themed routines added an extra layer of excitement and suspense, making every performance feel like a nail-biting climax.

SPOILER ALERT: This story contains spoilers from the Oct. 29 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”

On Halloween, celebrities on “Dancing With the Stars” faced their most terrifying phobias by showcasing routines based on their deepest fears – ranging from snakes, ghosts, and murderers to dolls, the unknown, and vampires. It seems that even the possibility of elimination was a fear for them all, as everyone gave their best performances.

Daniella Karagach pointed out to her partner Dwight Howard that he hadn’t managed to perform a complete routine without mistakes — but he went ahead and accomplished this flawlessly in their unusual contemporary dance to “Ring Around the Rosie”. Following their exceptional performance, both dancers were moved to tears as they shared that they had overcome a challenging week. Their efforts proved worthwhile, as they received the first perfect score of the season, which was awarded by Carrie Ann Inaba.

For the initial ten dances of the evening, Carrie Ann awarded the maximum score to Danny Amendola and Witney Carson, Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, as well as Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold. However, Bruno Tonioli mainly used 9s throughout the night, but he did award a perfect 10 to Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, placing them at the top of the leaderboard.

Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong performed the closing dance of the evening. Although they were immune from last week’s competition, meaning they avoided the dance-offs, Chandler wasn’t feeling completely secure following Carrie Ann’s critique that their Viennese Waltz was less than flawless… until they received their scores. Carrie Ann awarded a 9, but they garnered perfect 10s from both Bruno and Derek, with Derek giving his first score of the season in this manner.

Following my own dance performance, I found myself witnessing three electrifying dance-offs. First up was a cha cha battle between Dwight and Daniella against Ilona and Alan, with the former pair triumphantly dancing to “Ghostbusters.” Next, Jenn and Sasha displayed their impressive salsa moves to “Jump In the Line, securing victory over Stephen and Rylee. The final dance-off was a thrilling jive performance by Joey and Jenna to “Time Warp, which bested Danny and Witney in an exhilarating display of rhythm and grace.

In the end, Chandler and Joey ended up in first place on the leaderboard, while Ilona was sadly at the bottom. When you consider both the judges’ ratings and the public’s votes, it was unexpectedly Jenn and Sasha who had to leave.

“There won’t be a new ‘Dancing With the Stars’ episode coming up next week because that’s when the election takes place on November 5th.
