Dana White Left Logan Paul on Read After He Begged for UFC Spot

Logan Paul, a popular YouTube personality who recently switched to become a WWE villain, revealed that UFC president Dana White ignored his request for a spot on the undercard at UFC 306 after he reached out and asked for it.

For quite some time now, Logan Paul has expressed a desire to fight in the UFC, even petitioning the organization’s leader, Dana White, since as early as 2018, with his younger brother Jake Paul by his side.

Although Dana White has yet to give approval for The Maverick to join his company, despite his involvement in high-profile boxing matches with Floyd Mayweather and pro wrestling endeavors, as well as Prime Hydration becoming the official drink of the UFC in 2023, it remains unconfirmed.

In truth, Paul claims that the president of the UFC disregarded him entirely when he requested to be part of one of their most significant events’ undercard up until now… and he attributes this firm stance specifically to a certain fighter.

Logan Paul reveals Dana White’s response after asking to fight on UFC 306

During a broadcast of his IMPAULSIVE podcast on March 25, Logan shared details about his dialogue with Dana White. He had reached out to him, aiming to participate in UFC 306, an event that took place at the Las Vegas Sphere in September 2024.

He initiated a conversation by sending a message: “Hey there, I’m ready if you need someone for the undercard at the Sphere.” However, he didn’t respond at all, which I believe was quite clear. Since then, I haven’t reached out to him again.

In his view, Logan believes his skills in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) surpass those in boxing, largely because of his background as a competitive high school wrestler and his career in WWE. However, he thinks that White might be hesitant to include him on the team because of past issues involving CM Punk.

In a casual manner, Paul expressed that he believes in investing the appropriate resources for the right cause, as he is essentially an individual who entertains others by profession.

When Tom Aspinall, the UFC champion, posed the question about emulating CM Punk’s career path, Paul responded by saying that CM Punk “messed it up.

Subsequently, Dana expressed something along the lines of ‘I’ll never do this again.’ Paul pondered, considering him more a skilled wrestler than a UFC fighter. He believed his abilities would make him a superior UFC fighter compared to being only a boxer.

Indeed, Paul’s extensive background in wrestling positions him as a strong contender for stepping into CM Punk’s shoes. This is particularly noteworthy considering TKO has ownership over both the WWE and UFC, which could facilitate a seamless transition should it occur.

Previously, White has expressed a willingness for Paul to fight in the UFC, but it seems that the timing isn’t favorable at this moment. This is particularly evident given that Logan stated his brother Jake may have damaged his relationship with the president of combat sports.
