Pre-orders are now open for Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, set to launch on September 5th. The follow-up to the 2019 Nintendo Switch exclusive (later released on PC) will be playable on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at release. While preorders for the Switch 2 console have been postponed in the US, you can already pre-order the Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion version for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This makes it the first game for the Switch 2 available for pre-order from a US retailer.
Currently, a brand-new Daemon X Machina sells for more than it did at its launch price of $60, making a used copy from GameStop an attractive option at $40. Therefore, preordering early could be a smart decision, particularly if you’re keen on the Collectible Edition with added bonuses.
The Daemon X Machina Limited Edition, priced at $100, offers additional items despite being just $30 more than the standard edition.
Let’s take a closer look at Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion preorders for both physical editions.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Preorder Bonuses
Currently, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion doesn’t offer any pre-order incentives. Should there be any changes up until September 5, we’ll promptly provide information about them here. If bonuses are announced before you place your pre-order, most retailers will automatically include these extras in your purchase.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion unfolds in a universe where individuals endowed with extraordinary powers rise up against mankind. Over time, they seize command over a fleet of orbiting defense platforms and assert their authority over Earth ruthlessly. The narrative then delves into a sequence of gripping mechanized conflicts as various factions clash in their struggle for global dominance.
In this game, you have the freedom to personalize your mechanical combat unit, known as an Arsenal. You can then traverse the vast open world of Titanic Scion either solo or with up to two other players in the multiplayer mode. The sequel is designed to be a self-contained experience, so prior knowledge of the original isn’t necessary. Even without playing the first one, it’s still worth giving a try. Our Daemon X Machina review scored the original 7 out of 10, appreciating its engaging gameplay mechanics and rich, intriguing lore.
If you haven’t got a Nintendo Switch, you might want to explore the initial game on your personal computer instead. Interestingly, this game was never adapted for Xbox or PlayStation; however, it did receive a port to PC in the year 2020.
Though the first game for the Nintendo Switch 2 can be preordered now, the actual console itself is not available for preorder yet. The initial plan was to start accepting preorders on April 9, but due to the ongoing tariff issue affecting various industries, these plans have been postponed in the U.S. The console is still scheduled to launch on June 5. In the upcoming weeks, we might receive updates regarding the preorder situation and potential price changes.
