A popular sports video game series has taken down a song by the artist D4vd from its newest version while authorities investigate a serious murder case.
TMZ reports that the song ‘What Are You Waiting For’ by the singer has been removed from the Madden NFL 26 soundtrack, even though it was included when the game first came out in August.
The song was briefly featured in the game’s music alongside artists such as BIA and Alex Warren, but it’s now been taken down. EA Sports hasn’t said why.
Song removed amid ongoing investigation
The investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas is still ongoing. Her body was found in a Tesla that had been left in the Hollywood Hills and later taken to a towing company’s storage lot. Police have confirmed the car belongs to the musician D4vd.
Investigators announced in November that they were examining the singer as a person of interest in the death of Rivas.

Last month, a grand jury began meeting and has been hearing from witnesses. Reports suggest the jury is likely to decide whether to formally accuse D4vd of wrongdoing, potentially leading to criminal charges.
This 20-year-old artist has worked with popular gaming companies before. He notably collaborated with Fortnite, even composing their official anthem for 2025, called ‘Locked and Loaded’.
