Cyclethon 4: CDawgVA Smashes Charity Records, Raises Over a Million!

After a grueling fifteen-day journey, CDawgVA (alias Connor) completed his bicycle trip through Japan. He streamed live as he pedaled from Hokkaido to Tokyo, relying solely on his bike for support during the journey.

For years, I’ve been participating in these Cyclethons, streaming my adventures for everyone worldwide. I invite friends to join me on this epic ride through Japan, sharing the experience of pedaling together and discovering new landscapes.

Over the span of more than two weeks, Connor successfully pedaled his way to a breathtaking total of $1,069,561 for charity. This impressive sum not only wrapped up his cycling journey but also smashed his personal record for funds raised during a single event.

CDawgVA breaks his own charity record in Cyclethon 4

Initially, CDawgVA started organizing charitable events with the aim of collecting funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing understanding and support for the chronic condition that his friend IronMouse is battling.

She suffers from a type of Primary Immune Deficiency, one that necessitates costly plasma therapy for treatment and currently has no known cure. Due to the characteristics of her condition, IronMouse must make extensive preparations before leaving home. Even with these precautions, she remains at risk of contracting a potentially fatal illness.

Connor could lead his audience on a virtual journey through Japan via his live stream, as he bikes over 1,200 kilometers (approximately 746 miles) across the country. This endeavor was aimed at collecting funds and spreading awareness about her illness. The trip concluded with him reaching Tokyo, where hundreds of people enthusiastically cheered for him.

From the chilly peaks of Hokkaido to the bustling heart of Tokyo, his adventure lasted a full 15 days. Along the way, he was joined by popular guests such as PewDiePie and Abroad In Japan, pedaling alongside him, providing entertainment for their viewers.

In all, including what he earned here and his initial endeavors, Connor has managed to raise an impressive sum of $3,834,464.46 for the Cyclethon cause, starting from his very first event.

In his initial Cyclethon event, he managed to collect a total of $319,857 in donations. This is more than three times the amount he successfully raised during his first attempt.

In our conversation back in 2023, Connor shared his ambition to donate at least a million dollars annually to charity. Remarkably, he has now managed to achieve this goal through a single charitable event.
