Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PlayStation Plus Games Catalog

CD Projekt Red has declared that the game Cyberpunk 2077 can now be accessed by members with Premium or Extra subscriptions via the PlayStation Plus Games Collection.

Subscribers can now play CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG at no additional charge, but please note that this is only the base version of the game, not the Ultimate Edition which includes “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.” This offering follows recent events such as the postponement of patch 2.3 and the announcement of the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 anime series by CD Projekt Red.

If you don’t own Cyberpunk 2077 yet and you’ve got an active PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium membership, you can grab the standard edition of the game for free download right now. Check out my thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2 version in this post.

The enhanced version of Cyberpunk 2077, the Ultimate Edition, has made its debut on Nintendo Switch 2. Originally launched on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms, you can now experience this highly-anticipated game on your Nintendo console as well. Members of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium can access the complete version of Cyberpunk 2077 without any additional fees on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In this game, you assume the role of V, a highly-enhanced mercenary aiming to establish a reputation in the gritty Night City, a city consumed by power struggles, wealth, and advanced body modifications. Cyberpunk 2077 offers an immersive main narrative with Keanu Reeves portraying Johnny Silverhand, as well as numerous side missions, jobs, and other activities for players to delve into.

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) edition comes with improved 4K graphics, ray tracing, 3D audio, and unique DualSense features such as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The PS5’s ultra-fast SSD ensures swift load times when traversing the open world. Players on PS5 will have access to Cyberpunk 2077’s base game, all post-launch updates (which include new missions, vehicles, improvements in gameplay, and other features), and the upcoming Update 2.3 upon its release. Users on PlayStation 4 will get the base game along with every update designed for that version, up to and including the Edgerunners Update.
