There are indications that further downloadable content for Cyberpunk 2077 might be underway, based on some subtle hints shared by the game’s creators.
2023 saw the unveiling of “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty,” a substantial expansion to the 2020 game release, Cyberpunk 2077, by CD Projekt RED.
Initially released with numerous issues, Cyberpunk has undergone multiple patches and fixes since then, and it is now scheduled for release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Despite the fact that Phantom Liberty was the sole expansion originally planned for the game, it has since introduced several DLC packs. As of June 3rd, there have been whispers suggesting that additional content may be in development as well.
Deleted Cyberpunk 2077 posts spark DLC rumors
According to SynthPotato, a seasoned writer at Virtuos, they recently modified their LinkedIn profile to reveal that they studied the voices of existing characters from Cyberpunk 2077 to help write dialogue for various new side missions.
Moreover, their profile indicated that they were managing, composing, and refining side missions for “forthcoming expansion packs.
It’s being speculated that Cyberpunk 2077 could potentially receive additional Downloadable Content (DLC), given the claims made by a Senior Writer at Virtuos, who are responsible for ongoing updates on the game developed by CDPR. If such expansion or quest series materializes, it would undoubtedly be an exciting development for fans of the game.

A Senior Writer at Virtuos has announced they’ve been involved in creating several fresh side missions, and since you might already know that Virtuos is the studio contracted by CDPR for ongoing Cyberpunk updates, this news is quite intriguing. If we indeed receive a new DLC or a sequence of quests, it would be absolutely monumental!
Following the dissemination of the profile, the Senior Writer removed or altered the specific highlighted points. Now, as reported by GameRant, the profile only mentions “writing content for diverse projects.
If there was any doubt left that an announcement might be imminent, CD Projekt RED’s Global Community Director, Marcin Momot, addressed speculations about potential upcoming DLC during a hypothetical Nintendo Switch 2 unveiling on June 5th.
We will not be showing any new DLC during the stream – sorry!

“We will not be showing any new DLC during the stream – sorry!” Momot said.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got my fingers crossed! The recent statement didn’t shut down the possibility of a DLC, but simply hinted that we won’t hear about it during the upcoming live stream. Keeping my hopes high for more exciting game updates!
While enthusiasts anticipate an official unveiling of the next DLC, CD Projekt Red has instead assured us that the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 sequel will showcase a new city modeled after a corrupted iteration of Chicago.
Since the initial game didn’t receive much excitement, it’s unlikely that developers will hastily release the sequel. However, a fresh DLC expansion might offer an engaging experience for players, delving deeper into the universe of Night City.
