Cyberpunk 2077: All Free Car and Vehicle Locations

I love cruising around Night City in Cyberpunk 2077! There are so many different vehicles you can drive, from beat-up buggies to cars that look a lot like super-expensive Bugattis. Honestly, the game is best when you’re exploring on foot – there’s so much detail hidden in buildings and little secrets everywhere. But even so, speeding through the crowded streets in a cool ride is still a ton of fun. And the best part? You don’t have to spend all your eddies – there are plenty of free vehicles to find in Cyberpunk 2077!

Similar to the Grand Theft Auto games, in Cyberpunk 2077 you can steal almost any vehicle, but you’ll need a decent level of Technical Ability to do so. The game also offers opportunities to buy vehicles, though collecting them all would cost over a million Eddies. Fortunately, there are many ways to get free, permanent vehicles throughout the game.

The Starter Car: Hella EC-D I360

Players will quickly unlock a free vehicle—the Hella—after completing the initial story missions in Cyberpunk 2077. While it’s a basic model, it provides early transportation for V. However, V’s car will be damaged in an accident during the beginning of Act 2, and players will have to wait for repairs.

After obtaining their first car, players can call it to their location anywhere on the map, similar to requesting vehicles in GTA Online. However, you can’t summon stolen cars this way. Instead, any stolen vehicles are safely stored in your garage, which is always accessible.

The Starter Cycle: Jackie’s Nazare Arch

Sleek Inheritance

At the beginning of Act 2, during the quest “Heroes,” V will receive Jackie Welles’ motorcycle. How the quest unfolds doesn’t matter – you’ll always get the bike. If you chose the Nomad Lifepath when creating your character, you can also obtain a special, upgraded version of the motorcycle.

If you also max out six Technical Ability stats, you’ll unlock a special conversation during the “The Pickup” mission. This will convince Jackie to upgrade the bike before handing it over to you at the end of the “Heroes” mission. With the Phantom Liberty expansion, starting a new game with the expansion installed will automatically give you the bike, no matter which character background you select.

Gain Another Quest Reward Bike

You can get another free bike by finishing the story quest “Life During Wartime.” This quest involves a challenging mission with Panam Palmer, and it guarantees you’ll receive the vehicle – you won’t have to rely on luck to get it, unlike some other free vehicles like Jackie’s Arch.

This bike used to belong to Scorpion, a character from the Aldecaldos Nomad clan – the same group where you’ll find Panam. If you locate the clan while exploring the areas outside Night City, you can begin a series of missions that will allow you to earn this bike without paying.

Delamain No. 21: The Fancy Cab

The Smoothest Taxi You’ll Ever See

In Cyberpunk 2077, you can get this fancy cab after finishing all seven “Epistrophy” missions. These missions involve finding and recovering seven Delamain taxis that have malfunctioned and gone off course.

Taxi Location	Description
Heywood / The Glen	This cab can be found near the edge of a roadway in The Glen. Listen and side with the A.I. for it to return to service.
Heywood / Wellsprings	Scanning this cab will cause it to threaten the player, simply damage it and it will give up.
Westbrook / North Oak	The Westbrook cab will be driving around and V will have to scan it, speak with it, and drive it back to the garage.
Santo Domingo / Rancho Coronado	This cab is out of control and V must help its rampage by destroying flamingos around the area.
Pacifica / Coastview	The Coastview cab will taunt the player and eventually lead V into an ambush. Defeat the group and the cab will yield.
Watson / Northside	This cab is hidden in the alleyways of an orange warehouse, find it and it will take off running. Follow the cab, where it will eventually crash and allow V to send it back.
The Badlands	This cab can be found in the middle of the landfill, get in and speak with the cab and exit when instructed.

Once V has located all the missing cabs, they can go back to Delamain HQ and accept the “Don’t Lose Your Mind” mission. Completing this mission will earn them a free car.

During the “Chippin’ In” mission in Cyberpunk 2077, players can acquire one of the game’s few realistically modeled cars. As part of the mission, where V teams up with Johnny Silverhand, you’ll face a choice: kill or spare a character named Grayson.

If you want to get a free Porsche in Cyberpunk 2077, you need to spare Grayson’s life during the mission. Choose the dialogue option “[Put weapon away] Got lucky today.” – showing him mercy is the only way to unlock the car as a reward, so make sure he survives!

Claire’s Truck: The Thornton Mackinaw Beast

Similar to how you get the Porsche, acquiring this vehicle depends on the choices you make during conversations. After completing the main mission “Double Life,” you’ll unlock the side job “The Beast In Me.” During this side job, Claire, the bartender at Afterlife, will call V and introduce them to the thrilling world of underground racing in Night City.

Claire is determined to get revenge on Sampson, the city’s best street racer, due to events in her past. Allowing Claire to kill Sampson towards the end of the mission will earn V a special reward: her heavily armored truck. This truck is incredibly durable, making it ideal for escaping the police and other threats in Night City.

If you spare Sampson, he’ll contact V after finishing the “The Beast In Me” mission and offer them a free, customized black vehicle. If you kill Sampson, the Cthulhu vehicle will still be available for 76,000 eddies, but you won’t be able to get the Mackinaw Beast, as it’s a one-of-a-kind vehicle.

If you’re trying to collect all the vehicles in the game, you should continue to defeat Sampson each time he appears. This will allow you to get the Mackinaw Beast from Claire and later purchase the Cthulhu by earning money through missions and side quests.

Grab And Go

This modified pickup truck is located on an abandoned movie set just outside Night City. You’ll find the area, called ‘Desert Film Set’, on your map near Rocky Ridge and Jeff’s Dirt Track. Approaching this location will start the ‘Dressed To Kill’ side quest, and completing it will reward you with the vehicle at no cost.

If V simply drives the car, it will be added to their garage permanently. While this vehicle is usually green, the version obtained from the film set is a striking orange – a significant difference from the standard models available.

Complete Every Gig From Dino

As I’ve been exploring Night City, I’ve been picking up these little side jobs called Gigs. If you do all the Gigs and side quests from Dino Dinovic, something really cool unlocks! You get a special mission called “Gas Gas Gas.” Finish that, and Dino will give you a car – it’s a sweet, rare green version of the Type-66! It’s a nice reward for helping him out with everything.

Loyalty Is Rewarded

If you complete the “Ghost Town” mission without assisting Panam, you’ll gain the respect of Rogue, an NPC who will call to acknowledge your loyalty. As a reward, she’ll give you a fast, orange car – one of the quickest vehicles available in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Archer Quartz “Bandit” is a free vehicle added to the game with the 1.3 update. You can buy it on sale—even if you’re following Panam’s storyline—by building a relationship with Datoka Smith, a fixer in the Badlands.
