Zhao took to the interwebs on March 13, essentially saying, “I’ve had zero ‘let’s make a deal’ convos with anyone. Period.”
He goes on to say that a whole bunch of people (like, more than 20) got calls from WSJ and co. asking if he was wheeling and dealing for a presidential “get out of jail free” card.
WSJ’s story? Zhao was supposedly trying to get Trump to say, “You’re forgiven, now go run Binance.” But CZ is all, “That’s some next-level fiction, folks.”
He’s calling the report a political hit job, saying it’s out to get Trump and crypto. Also, he’s dropping truth bombs about the “war on crypto” leftovers trying to stir the pot.
Oh, and remember that time CZ did a little time for not playing by the U.S. money laundering rules? He’s like, “Sure, a pardon would be cool, but I’m still all about that crypto life, USA and beyond.”
