As an avid reader and admirer of the thrilling world created by James Patterson, I am beyond excited about the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series “Cross.” Aldis Hodge, in his gripping portrayal as detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross, promises to deliver a nail-biting experience that will have me on the edge of my seat.
Amazon Prime Video has released the first full trailer for the upcoming series “Cross.”
As a passionate movie-goer, I’m excited to share that I’ll be stepping into the shoes of the legendary detective and forensic psychologist, Alex Cross, in an upcoming series inspired by James Patterson’s novels. In the gripping trailer (which you can watch fully below), I find myself tracking a cold-blooded killer who has set his sights on me.
Beginning November 14th, the highly-anticipated series ‘Cross’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, featuring its complete first season of eight episodes. Previously announced, the show has already been given a green light for a second season. In addition to Hodge, the star-studded cast includes Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.
Ben Watkins is responsible for creating the TV show and holds the positions of showrunner and executive producer under his Blue Monday Productions label. Additionally, Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, and Craig Siebels also serve as executive producers. Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa do so on behalf of James Patterson Entertainment. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost are executive producers for Skydance Television. The production of the series is handled by Amazon MGM Studios, CBS Studios (previously known as Paramount Television Studios), and Skydance Television.
Should “Cross” gain popularity, it would mark another successful Amazon series adapted from a well-known novel character. Previously, “Reacher,” featuring Alan Ritchson, has been a big success for Amazon, stemming from the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child. Similarly, “Bosch,” Amazon’s longest-running series to date, is based on the Harry Bosch novels written by Michael Connelly, with Titus Welliver portraying Bosch and now heading “Bosch: Legacy” on Amazon Freevee. Another spinoff, titled “Bosch: Legacy,” starring Maggie Q as cold case detective Renée Ballard, is also in development at Prime Video.
