At a PlayStation presentation in September 2025, a new trailer for the game Crimson Desert was shown. The trailer ended with the news that the action-adventure game will be released on March 19, 2026.
Okay, so I just watched the trailer, and wow, it looks amazing! It’s all stuff they recorded *in* the game on the PlayStation 5 Pro, which is seriously impressive. A lot of it seems like those cinematic story moments, but there are definitely glimpses of actual gameplay in there too. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised – Pearl Abyss really knows how to make a beautiful game, just like they did with Black Desert Online. The graphics are definitely the biggest draw for me.
The new trailer doesn’t share much beyond the game’s release date, but Pearl Abyss has previously detailed a lot about Crimson Desert. You’ll play as Kliff, a member of the nearly wiped-out Greymane troop. The game centers around Kliff’s journey to find and reconnect with the few other Greymanes who survived an earlier ambush. He’ll travel across the continent of Pywel, encountering various people and cultures along the way.
Crimson Desert is set to launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
