Investigating the finances of a goblin merchant guild isn’t the most thrilling work, and the lengthy, confusing conversations and conflicting clues really drag things down. Who & What To Investigate
This table lists everyone you need to talk to and investigate during the clue-gathering phase – called “Troubled Shakatu” – of the “Extinguishing the Lost Flames” quest. You’ll need to speak with each person and then find specific clues to continue the quest.
Important clues for your investigation are shown in bold in the table below. Each location also has some misleading information – you can look at it if you want to be really careful, but it won’t help when you talk to Shakatu.

After you answer all the questions correctly, Shakatu will figure out who committed the crime and send you to confront them. This confrontation is a short and fairly simple boss battle. Once you win, you’ll be able to continue experiencing the rest of the story in Crimson Desert.
