Early in Crimson Desert, players will encounter a surprisingly challenging main story mission. This mission involves Kliff returning to Howling Hill to collect a letter from a Dragon Head statue. This then triggers a tutorial explaining how to send recruited freeswords on missions to automatically collect resources for your camp.
Okay, so the game does try to explain how to do this thing with a little pop-up, but honestly, it’s easy to miss or not really get what it’s telling you. And then the map just points you to Howling Hill – it doesn’t give you any clue what you’re supposed to do when you get there. It’s kinda frustrating, actually!
How to finish the Dispatch the Howling Hill expansion mission
Go to the Map screen and select the ‘All’ tab. Then, move your mouse over Howling Hill and zoom in until you see a small dot appear above it.
Next, press the Triangle button (or Y on a keyboard) and go to the ‘Mission List’ tab. Choose the ‘Howling Hill Camp Expansion’ option, then select the freeswords you want to send out.
