Crimson Desert: All Witch Locations

In Crimson Desert, Abyss Cores are key to building a powerful character. These special items slot into your weapons and armor to give you helpful boosts, like more attack damage, better defense, and quicker attacks.

You can’t install Abyss Cores into your gear on your own. You’ll need to locate the witches in the game and have them do it for you, but they aren’t easy to find.

Crimson Desert has five hidden witches to discover throughout the game. This guide will show you where to find them all.

The Hermit Witch

You can find the Hermit Witch early in the game, but she’s easy to miss! She’s hidden in a cave north of Hernand city. Head to the location shown in the image, then search the mountainside to find her.

You’ll find an entrance in the mountainside that leads to a cave – this is where the Hermit Witch lives. She doesn’t give out quests, but she can add Abyss Cores to your gear.

The Witch of Wisdom

As you progress through the main story of Crimson Desert, you’ll eventually encounter the Witch of Wisdom. After defeating Kearush in Chapter 5, your next goal will be to free her from where she’s being held. Completing this storyline will lead you to rescuing the Witch and ultimately arriving at her home.

Elowen, also called the Witch of Wisdom, lives southwest of Hernand City. At her shop, you can create new items, add special stones to your gear, and break down Abyss Cores. Talking to Elowen also starts a side quest where you’ll need to purify several Sanctums located around Hernand.

The Witch of Kindness

To find the Witch of Kindness in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to visit two places. First, look for her southwest of Pailune city, just north of where the letter ‘P’ appears on the map. You can see her precise location in the image provided.

You’ll first meet the Witch of Kindness huddled under a tent, visibly cold. To get her to speak with you, you’ll need to build a fire and warm her up.

Once you’ve talked to the Witch of Kindness, she’ll go back to her home, which is a house in the middle of the pond by Silver Wolf Mountains.

If you talk to the Witch of Kindness at her home, she’ll become a merchant selling Abyss Cores and will also give you a side quest. This quest involves purifying several Sanctums located in the Pailune region.

The Witch of Humility

To start, you’ll need to rescue the Witch of Humility in Beighen. She’s located hanging from a bridge and will ask for your assistance. The image below shows her exact location.

Once you save the Witch of Humility from the bridge, she’ll magically transport to her home in Serpent Marsh. You can find her lair inside a cave there, and it’s marked by ribbons hanging nearby.

After you talk to the witch in her hideout, she’ll become a shopkeeper where you can buy Abyss Cores. This conversation also starts a side quest called “Witch of Humility,” which involves purifying Sanctums.

The Witch of Strength

The Witch of Strength is probably the final merchant players can unlock in Crimson Desert. Similar to the Witch of Kindness and Humility, you’ll need to locate her disguised form before you can add her to your merchant list.

Okay, so I was exploring the Crimson Desert and found out where to find one of the Witch of Strength’s hidden forms! You can find it just north of Tashkalp, right next to this little shack that looks like it’s supposed to be a kid’s place. I’ve included a picture to show you exactly where it is – it’s super helpful!

Once you’ve talked to the Witch of Strength when you were younger, her location will appear on your map. You can find her hidden in the mountains on the north side of the Crimson Desert.

Once you’ve talked to the witch, a new side quest called ‘Witch of Strength’ will become available. This quest asks you to purify several Sanctums located throughout the Crimson Desert.
