‘Couples Therapy’ Renewed for Season 5 at Showtime

“Couples Therapy” has been renewed for Season 5 at Paramount+ with Showtime.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that just two weeks after the premiere of the second half of our beloved documentary series’ fourth season (airing on May 23), we’ve received some fantastic news from Paramount! The Season 4B opener saw a whopping 30% increase in multiplatform viewership compared to the start of the previous season. What an exciting leap forward for the show, and I can’t wait to see what unfolds in the remaining episodes!

This show is about renowned psychologist Dr. Orna Guralnik, who helps couples navigate their personal issues in therapy. The series offers a glimpse into these private sessions, showing the challenges they face and the remarkable transformations that often occur, usually kept concealed from public view.

The television show titled ‘Couples Therapy’ is created by Edgeline Films. The executive producers include Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, Eli Despres, along with Vinnie Malhotra. Matt Parker, Bennett Elliott and Carly Hugo serve as producers for the second part of season four. Pax Wassermann and Bennett Elliott are the directors for this series. The distribution rights belong to Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Following its renewal, “Couples Therapy” now ranks as the second-longest running show on Showtime, having first aired in 2019. The only Showtime program that’s been on the air longer is “The Chi,” which premiered in 2018 and was recently renewed for its eighth season. Other current Showtime series include “Yellowjackets,” “The Agency,” and the prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin.” All of these shows have also been renewed for new seasons in recent times. The upcoming sequel series “Dexter: Resurrection” is set to be released in July.
