youtube personalities CoryxKenshin and Dashie found their gathering for the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 reveal, which they organized at a GameStop store, disbanded by the authorities following their takeover of the establishment.
Experiencing long waits at midnight launches, whether for a game or a gaming console, has been a traditional milestone for video game enthusiasts. Numerous fans will reminisce about the time they spent queuing for hours to get their hands on the latest Call of Duty, PlayStation 5, and Madden NFL titles.
As digital downloads have taken over, physical midnight game launches have lost some of their appeal. However, the hype surrounding console launches, like the debut of the Nintendo Switch 2 in early June, remains palpable.
In Florida, YouTubers CoryxKenshin and Dashie hosted an event at a nearby GameStop to interact with their fans following the launch of the new Switch. After some time, though, law enforcement became necessary.

In his June 6 YouTube video, Dashie mentioned that Gamestop requested him to visit so he could potentially meet some of the viewers. He asked Cory to join as a surprise and for moral support. To his delight, many of you showed up, and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude for your presence.
In a friendly interaction, the YouTube personality displayed quite a bit of him and Cory interacting with fans, autographing items, discussing games, and even signing an arm of one enthusiast. Nonetheless, the police arrived later on to break up the gathering as they stepped out of the store again to engage more fans.
Dashie expressed his disappointment that he didn’t have a chance to greet everyone, saying, “I’m just upset I couldn’t talk to all of you.” One of the officers was familiar with their work and even referenced a popular quote from Dashie, “that bird I can’t stand” meme.
The officers had to intervene to help remove the two YouTube personalities from the shop. After navigating through the throng of people, they finally made their way into a vehicle. In the process, Cory shut the car door onto Dashie’s face just as he was attempting to get in.
“Bro, Cory shut the door in my face thinking it was someone else,” he added.
1. Dashie expressed gratitude to the GameStop team for ensuring both him and Cory’s safety, as well as consistently being kind to all participants. Meanwhile, Cory noted that this act of kindness might become a tradition from now on.
2. Dashie thanked GameStop employees for making sure he and Cory were safe, and for always treating everyone with kindness. In turn, Cory suggested that this friendly behavior could develop into a tradition.
