After more than a month’s absence, CoryxKenshin has returned to YouTube, kicking off his return with a clear message aimed at those who were “cancelling” him due to a well-known TikTok post about his hairstylist.
On March 26th, the popular online personality came back to YouTube after more than a month, following his last post. His comeback was in reaction to a video on Instagram from his hairstylist, Kira, which had captivated his followers while he was away.
In the video, Kira moved back from Cory once he finished braiding his hair. As Kira walked off, this caused some viewers to claim that Cory was checking out her rear end.
In his March 26th video, Cory disputed these allegations, as it was apparent that he had already turned his gaze in that direction prior to her entering his visual range.

CoryxKenshin apologizes to his braider after TikTok goes viral
In addition, Cory wanted to address those who were misusing the clip by trying to ‘censure’ him, and he even expressed regret towards his braider for accidentally involving her in the online controversy.
He apologized, saying, “I’m truly sorry you ended up involved in everything,” as he explained, “She wanted to record the process to aid her business. Being the private person I am, I agreed, thinking it might benefit hers.
He went on to say, ‘You won’t find any more videos of me!’ The attention you’re giving that one video is excessive – perhaps it’s time for a change.
Cory explained that he has decided to stop filming his hair salon visits, acknowledging that he’s unsure when exactly this behavior became popular among his fans.
CoryxKenshin explains why he took a sudden break after viral comeback
Additionally, the YouTuber clarified the reason for his sudden hiatus in creating content, explaining that managing his professional obligations and the creation of his new comic book series titled “Monsters We Make” left him with very little spare time.
With all these constant meetings, it’s challenging to find both the energy and time for video recording and editing. Seems like I won’t be needing a video editor in the foreseeable future.”
Or, more casually:
“I’m swamped with meetings! Looks like I’ll be doing my own videos, no editor needed!
He acknowledged that he considers his YouTube character and his professional self as distinct ‘entities,’ explaining they often compete for his time as he strives to maintain a balance.
In the end, Cory made it clear to his audience that there will be additional videos coming up, causing viewers to feel thrilled and puzzled, as they couldn’t believe that a generally clean-cut YouTube personality faced “cancellation” while on break.
