Internet personality CoryxKenshin has gone absent without leave (AWOL) from the web for over a month now, contrary to his pledge of a more regular posting routine following a 1.5-year break.
Among YouTube’s top gaming content creators, CoryxKenshin stands out with a massive following of more than 21 million subscribers. This popularity stems from his amusing and family-friendly humor, as well as his entertaining responses to horror games. However, in the last month, fans have been questioning his absence.
In December 2024, Cory made a highly anticipated return to the internet, a year and a half following the upload of his last video. It was revealed that he had been engrossed in creating a fresh endeavor – an intriguing sci-fi action-horror comic book series named ‘Monsters We Create.’
Back in February 2025, I was thrilled when Volume 1 arrived and Cory shared his walkthrough of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 the same month. It’s been more than a month since then, and as a fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of worry and frustration, wondering why he’s gone silent once again without any official announcement.
Fans desperate for new CoryxKenshin content as YouTuber takes another hiatus
The comments below Cory’s Poppy Playtime video are a blend of amusement and genuine distress, with one spectator expressing: “What a delightful gathering. Shall we meet again next year… or maybe a year and a half later?
“‘It was fun while it lasted!’ Ahh upload schedule,” another joked.
“Cory giving us flashbacks from last year with this break,” yet another lamented.
While it’s understood by many followers that Cory isn’t obligated to provide any content at all, and he absolutely has the freedom to take breaks when necessary… this doesn’t prevent some fans from feeling slightly annoyed by his unexpected absences.
As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that Cory made a commitment to his audience, assuring us that he would release an impressive 100 videos in the year 2025. He even expressed regret for his prolonged absence, which was primarily due to his focus on Monsters We Make.
He confessed that he overindulged a bit, “lost in the details.” Regarding his Samurai commitments, they will always take priority over external projects. He acknowledges that he could have handled things more effectively due to the support and blessings bestowed upon him by you all, through divine intervention. He expresses his apologies for any shortcomings.

It’s noteworthy that Cory mentioned he’s busy with another venture, but he’s still under wraps about the details for now.
It’s quite likely that, due to his previous dedication to Monsters We Make, Cory might be deeply engrossed in preparing for his next major unveiling… however, this hasn’t deterred his fans from seeking more openness and updates from their beloved YouTuber in the interim.
Moreover, since Cory personally handles his YouTube video editing – a task that’s time-consuming, as evident from his release of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 – keeping up with a regular upload schedule while managing two other significant projects might lead to him struggling to keep all the balls in the air.
Currently, fans aren’t just eagerly anticipating his next upload, but they’re also keenly interested in learning more about the potential future of “Monsters We Make,” following his explicit appeal to Netflix to transform his manga into an anime series.
