Social media lit up on October 4, 2025, with videos showing police raiding a Los Angeles company. The company’s owner, Adeel Shams, had been arrested, and people were claiming they’d been selling counterfeit shoes to customers.

Cool Kicks has addressed the rumors about fake shoes, clarifying the situation and confirming they are not counterfeit.

Cool Kicks announced on Instagram that the LAPD seized a limited number of sneakers after they were reported stolen.

Police seized a shipment of Nike sneakers Coolkicks recently received, claiming they were stolen. The company said they were completely surprised by this news.

Coolkicks and its employees were unaware the products were stolen and had no reason to suspect they were. We bought them believing they were obtained legitimately, as we do with all our purchases, and are committed to operating with honesty and integrity.

They emphasized that law enforcement has not made any claims that the products were fake.

Rami clarified at the start of his YouTube video that the raid happened at the warehouse, not the retail store itself.

He assured everyone that the issue wasn’t related to counterfeit shoes or the sale of fake sneakers.
