Cooking action RPG Town of Zoz now available for PC

Balor Games and Studio Pixanoh have released their cooking action RPG, Town of Zoz, on Steam for PC.

Okay, so I was really excited to hear that Town of Zoz was coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. But things have changed a bit! It was originally going to be published by Humble Games, but then Balor Games bought up all of Humble Games’ titles back in March 2026. Now, Town of Zoz is actually the very first game Balor Games is publishing themselves, which is pretty cool!

Right now, the game’s website only lists a release for PC. We don’t know if it will be available on consoles, so we’ve contacted Balor Games for more information.

As you explore, you’ll hunt magical creatures, collect ingredients, and cook delicious meals that build relationships with the townsfolk. You won’t be alone – a shapeshifting spirit companion will fight alongside you! Every dish you create and every bond you forge brings the village closer to recovery, slowly revealing the hidden truths of its mysterious past. It’s a heartwarming story filled with magic and intrigue.

Town of Zoz is a heartfelt tribute to classic anime and the memorable JRPGs of the early 2000s. The game’s creators wanted to build a world inspired by their favorite games, but also filled with the vibrant culture and tastes of Latin America. Max Gonzalez, the Creative/Art Director, even used his own memories to create the game’s food. He included Latin American dishes that remind him of his mother’s cooking and the meals he shares with friends, turning those personal experiences into recipes players can use. These recipes aren’t just flavorful—they’re essential for solving puzzles and building a strong community within the game.

He designed the recipes to be personal, representing his own life experiences and family traditions, and hopes they will help players unlock memories, build bonds, and share special moments.
