Today, Control: Ultimate Edition for PC received an update version 1.30 from Remedy Entertainment. This update is scheduled to roll out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in the future as well.
The exciting aspect of this update is that you can now access Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience when you gather Dr. Tokui Tapes in the Research Sector’s Extrasensory Lab. This mission includes narration by Hideo Kojima, and was originally only available for the PS4 digital deluxe edition of Control.
Initially, these suits were exclusively accessible as preorder incentives or achievements rewards, but now they can be acquired by everyone. You’ll find them in the Control Point within the Central Executive district. These include the Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response Gear, Urban Response Gear, and Extradimensional Suit.
Ultimately, some fresh visual enhancements have been implemented, including High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility, advanced ray-tracing, support for ultra-wide monitors reaching up to 48:9 aspect ratio, and the ability to render resolutions surpassing 4K.
At present, Remedy Entertainment is actively developing Control 2, having moved into its complete production phase last month. Additionally, they are working on FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer game nestled within the Control universe. The re-imaginings of Max Payne 1 and 2 also began full production back in August 2024.
Control: Ultimate Edition is also currently on sale at TopMob’s sister site, Fanatical, for $7.19.

Missions
Every player will get a chance to experience Mission: Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery, narrated by Hideo Kojima. You can play this mission once you collect the Dr. Tokui Tapes item in the Research Sector’s Extrasensory Lab. This mission was initially available only with the PlayStation 4 Digital Deluxe version of Control, but now it’s accessible to all players.
