As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for detail and an appetite for all things Olive Garden (or as we call it in my neck of the woods, “Ol’ Giove’s Den”), I must say, this breadstick debacle has me scratching my head like never before. I’ve played countless games of Mystery House, but this one’s got me stumped!
Olive Garden responded via TikTok after a customer exposed a strange breadstick they were served.
The social media user known as ‘fartbubble69420’ gained popularity in early November, after posting an unusual breadstick they found during their meal at Olive Garden.
As she savored her renowned breadstick from the Italian eatery, the TikTok user spotted a big, dark imprint on its side. The words “OK6” were clearly visible in the marking.
She wondered aloud on her popular TikTok video, “Why are there words written on my Olive Garden breadstick?” Following her unusual discovery, the restaurant addressed her query through a TikTok post.
“We noticed something that worries us. Could you kindly write an email to Olive Garden, including your full name and the location where you visited?
Olive Garden gave the TikToker a $100 gift card as a gesture, hoping she’d keep eating there following the incident.
Viewers predict how Olive Garden breadstick was branded
Even though the enigma surrounding the text on the breadstick remains unresolved, numerous TikTok users have offered their guesses as to what the black characters might represent.
One person noted, “That’s often caused by being stored in a plastic bag and kept in the freezer for some time.
The other person mentioned that it could be because the bread was on the baking sheet, or perhaps it froze to the bread while still inside its packaging.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase that as: “I noticed that sometimes the text on plastic bags can get hot and transfer to the food if they aren’t stored or shipped at the correct temperatures.
Some spectators also raised doubts about what exactly Olive Garden was providing to its patrons, while others insisted on receiving clarification directly from the restaurant.
Not just Olive Garden has faced scrutiny following a viral TikTok incident; earlier in November, a consumer discovered that some Kraft Gluten-Free Macaroni and Cheese packages were empty of cheese.
Later on, Kraft addressed the TikTok user with an apology. Additionally, she was provided with a variety of complimentary gluten-free products from several brands such as Instacart, Stouffers, and California Pizza Kitchen.
