Conan O’Brien: Ace of the Oscars, recipient of the Mark Twain Prize, and soon to be a CGI toy character who may either bond with Woody and Buzz or cause them trouble in a new phase of kids’ entertainment. On Instagram, O’Brien revealed that he will portray a new character named Smartypants in the upcoming film, “Toy Story 5.” In jest, he expressed his initial desire for the role of Woody, but was told it had already been given to Tom Hanks. When asked about Buzz Lightyear, he responded humorously, “Well, if you can’t have one, why not the other?” Despite the primary roles going back to Hanks and Tim Allen, O’Brien appears content with his assigned character, stating that it is his favorite among them all. He concludes the announcement by highlighting the unusual appearance of his hair and laughing heartily, an aspect not mentioned in the official announcement details.
The fifth installment of the series is dubbed as “Toys versus Technology” because the team confronts a fresh danger to their playtime. O’Brien might embody an educational tech toy, such as a Leapster or a more contemporary option like an app on an iPad or even a YouTube personality – something along the lines of Cocomelon or Blippi. Given his lively nature, he fits the role perfectly.
