Comics and Elders for Harris: Nick Offerman Sings How He’s ‘Proud to Be a Kamala Man,’ Jane Fonda Criticizes the ‘Orange Man’ and More

As an individual who has witnessed the tumultuous political landscape of our nation over several decades, I must admit that the recent show of support from Hollywood heavyweights for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign fills me with a renewed sense of hope and excitement.

On Monday evening, a group that included Jane Fonda, Nick Offerman, and other notable figures in the entertainment industry publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris’ bid for presidency at virtual fundraising gatherings.

Fonda expressed at the “Elders for Kamala” Zoom fundraising event that this situation has taken an unexpected turn, becoming both exhilarating and optimistic. She shared that everyone seems to be sharing this excitement, but isn’t it also noticeable how immense the possibilities for the future have been unveiled? Fonda further emphasized that it’s not just because the previous leader was inept, but rather because Kamala is the ideal leader for this moment. She is bold, intelligent, seasoned, and has the ability to outperform him.

“She stated, ‘As for me, I’m sensing it deeply within my body and bones. I believe we can pull this off.'”

Simultaneously, Offerman participated in an online event titled “Comics for Kamala.” During this event, he showcased a song that expressed his feelings of pride as a “Kamala man.”

“I’m happy to support Kamala, as she stands for values I believe in, unlike that sunburned charlatan who’d dismiss a girl’s ethnic background. JD Vance, hidden under that unsettling beard, reminds me of a baby’s bottom. So, let me make this clear and let the music echo it, those two are just plain odd.” (Strumming guitar)

A variety of well-known personalities such as Ben Stiller, Kathy Griffin, John Stamos, Ed Helms, Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Mark Hamill, and Rosie O’Donnell were part of the guest speakers at the “Comics for Kamala” virtual event. This gathering has managed to collect over $460,000 so far.

Kathryn Hahn, during the call, mentioned that her role in “WandaVision” has been reminiscent of Kamala all along – referring to her character Agatha Harkness.

“Hahn went on to say, ‘Now is when our efforts truly begin.’ As the excitement and luster of the past couple of weeks gradually fades, it’s crucial that we step up our game and approach things in a fresh, new way compared to how we worked before.'”
