Ariana Grande, famed for her hilarious stints on Saturday Night Live and her Oscar-nominated performance as Galinda in the Wicked movies, has been cast to star in the upcoming film “Meet the Parents 4″. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this movie is scheduled for release on November 25, 2026. The plot revolves around Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and Pam Byrnes’s (Teri Polo) son, who introduces a fiancée that’s tough on him and may not be the best match, as reported by THR. It is said that Grande will portray this challenging fiancée. Both Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, who played the Byrnes patriarch in the original trilogy, have agreed to reprise their roles for this film. Teri Polo and Blythe Danner, who play the wives of De Niro’s and Stiller’s characters respectively, are expected to return, though their deals haven’t been finalized yet. Their son, Henry, was played by Colin Baiocchi in the 2010 film “Little Fockers”. Since Baiocchi hasn’t acted since 2011, it is possible that he might be replaced. John Hamburg, who has co-written all previous films, will direct this new installment.
In the world of cinema, the trilogy consisting of “Meet the Parents” (2000), “Meet the Fockers” (2004), and “Little Fockers” (2010) amassed a staggering $1 billion at the box office, as reported by Box Office Mojo. Following her role in “Wicked,” which also made an impressive $755 million, Ariana Grande has now expressed interest in comedy acting. She shared her enthusiasm for acting on the “Las Culturistas” podcast on November 6, stating, “I love acting… It heals me to do that, finding roles to use these parts of myself, and put them in little homes and characters.” Interestingly, if all goes as planned, Grande will release a movie over the Thanksgiving weekend for three consecutive years, making it a tradition she’s dubbed “thanking goodness”!
