College Football 25 Update 1.008 Patch Notes (August 19)
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours poured into College Football 25 and Madden franchises, I can’t help but feel like EA Sports is playing a game of their own – one that leaves us, the players, guessing what’s under the hood after each update. The latest patch, 1.008, seems to have addressed some long-standing issues, but without official patch notes, it’s like solving a mystery without a map or a clue.
On August 19, EA Sports subtly rolled out the College Football 25 update version 1.008, yet they’ve been silent about the specific issues this update tackles. No comprehensive patch notes for this update have been disclosed on Campus Huddle or the EA Answers forum, where minor updates are occasionally explained.
On August 8 when the latest College Football Top 25 rankings were released, Electronic Arts (EA) Sports also disclosed some ongoing issues they were still addressing. It remains unclear if all these problems have been resolved, but here’s a list of concerns they previously mentioned:
- When using schemes and playbooks to change your coach playbook/scheme, your player archetypes and OVRs change based on the scheme.
- Incoming freshman are not appearing in the Position Changes screen during the offseason.
- Annual Non-Conference games are not rotating.
It appears that some of these issues were addressed through a server-side update, but they mentioned a complete title update would be needed later for offline gameplay. Luckily, users on Reddit found several of these issues that seem to have been rectified in the most recent College Football 25 update.
It appears that the scorebug issue in Online Dynasty has been resolved, and it’s been reported that the playbook problem affecting player ratings has been fixed for offline Dynasty games.
