Colleen Ballinger ends her YouTube hiatus after just 2 weeks

Popular YouTube personality Colleen Ballenger has come back to the platform following a two-week break during which she had announced her temporary departure.

On February 27, well-known YouTube star and TV figure Colleen Ballinger disclosed a short hiatus from content production, explaining that she needed time to “recover in numerous aspects.

However, this break in her vlogging activities, primarily impacting her Colleen Vlogs channel, didn’t last long. In fact, on March 10th, only two weeks after, she posted a fresh 16-minute video under the title “I’M BAAAACK!”.

In the video, Ballinger discussed her health troubles which led to her temporary absence, disclosing that she had been hospitalized. “I assumed I’d only take a break from vlogging for a couple of days at most, but then my body gave way and I found myself recovering,” she explained.

The sun expressed interest, ‘So, it’s a tale of when you were badly injured and had to go to the hospital? That sounds intriguing! I’d love to listen. Let’s save that story for another time.’

She went into more detail, stating that the bodily discomfort prevented her from working or getting back online as promptly as she intended.

She mentioned that she was unable to continue editing due to a situation. When she believed she would return online, it turned out she couldn’t reconnect as she wasn’t able to work and was experiencing discomfort.

Colleen Ballinger’s return sparks backlash

Word got around swiftly about Ballinger’s return, as evident by a widely-shared Reddit post titled “Unfortunate news for all…

One individual penned, “She’ll always have a hold on us,” whereas another implored, “Could we possibly cease focusing on her?

I have some bad news for everyone………

A third individual remarked that due to her previous actions, she’s largely lost trust and admiration from the YouTube community, and it appears those actions will be difficult for her to move beyond.

In 2023, accusations of grooming against Ballinger caused considerable criticism, resulting in a decline of 190,000 subscribers and the cancellation of a planned Broadway role.

During that period, she famously responded to the accusations in a video where she sang about “harmful rumors” while strumming a ukulele.
