Colleen Ballinger Announces Another YouTube Hiatus

As a devoted follower, I’m sharing the news that my beloved YouTuber, Colleen Ballinger, also known as Miranda Sings, has decided to step back from her daily vlogging routine. While this might be disheartening for some, it doesn’t dampen the excitement for me and other fans who are eagerly awaiting her return with fresh content!

Back in the day, I was a well-known figure on YouTube, largely due to my hilarious character, Miranda Sings. She was quite the sensation!

The YouTube channel ‘Miranda Sings’, with more than 10 million subscribers, made its debut in 2008. However, by June 2023, her fanbase significantly decreased in size.

Previously confronted with claims of ‘grooming’ a young admirer back in 2020, similar accusations resurfaced three years later, leading the YouTube personality to address them by performing a satirical song on his ukulele.

The video spread rapidly across the internet, largely because of Ballinger’s unusual reaction to such weighty allegations. After a short break from content creation, she’s back to posting daily vlogs on her vlog channel. Since its launch in 2014, this channel has amassed over 3 million subscribers.

looks like I’ve taken another break from my YouTube journey, as mentioned in a vlog posted on February 25, 2025.

Colleen Ballinger’s YouTube break sparks criticism from viewers

In the video, Ballinger expressed that she requires healing on numerous fronts and must establish a suitable upload schedule that aligns more effectively with her daily routine as a mom to her kids.

She acknowledged that she’s feeling incredibly drained,” she said. “…All I really need is a moment to gather myself, as the current path I’m on isn’t sustainable and it’s taking a toll on both my physical health and mental well-being.

Ballinger shared that she’d encountered an issue with her shoulder during the process of decorating her twins’ room and editing her vlogs, expressing her intention to find a new editor to lighten her workload. Though viewers on YouTube showed understanding and support, those on other platforms displayed less empathy.

“It should be forever. No one will miss her ever,” one said on Reddit.

“She wants a Jenna Marbles moment so bad, but nobody gives f**k,” another wrote.

“She cannot leave fast enough,” another said on YouTube.

“Colleen: I’m leaving. Internet: And nothing of value was lost,” another joked.

During a short break from her vlogging, Ballinger made it clear that she might resume daily video posts sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, her regular podcast episodes will continue to be accessible for fans to enjoy.

As a devoted follower, I’ve just heard some recent updates about my favorite YouTuber. After she shared that she had been dropped from a Broadway production because of allegations against her, which she firmly denies as “completely fabricated,” I wanted to share this news with you all.
